Your 'day to day' As a Principal Scientist - R&D Operations, you will provide scientific direction for highly sophisticated initiatives/projects, impacting company resources, for the successful execution of PMI global initiatives and business objectives. The role requires in-depth scientific knowledge along with a broad understanding of business strategies across the company. More specifically, you will • Lead project teams to solve sophisticated multi-disciplinary assignments through in-depth scientific/technical expertise, organization know-how, advanced project management skills and practical experience, for the development of novel varieties, substrates and products • Apply scientific principles, techniques and practices to develop and assess new product features and concepts • Develop and manage strategic plans, budgets and schedules for high impact scientific research • Interact frequently with senior management and external technical resources to understand the latest business issues and scientific / technological developments and integrate them into strategic plans • Serve as a leader in scientific research reaching beyond traditional methodologies and techniques • Actively develop staff as primary contributors to the performance management process so that they can conduct effective scientific research and independent studies. Ensure that knowledge management is performed via data compilation, review and storage in line with Company, FDA or any other equivalent accreditation authority requirements. Who we are looking for • PhD in a natural or a life sciences field, Physics is preferred. Substantial experience in interdisciplinary research and regulatory affairs. • If the required PhD is not present, the incumbent is having the proper knowledge and is able to fulfill the competencies of this position • Meaningful relevant work experience • Proven managerial experience • Functional expertise required in line with functional scope • Effective teamwork skills exercised within cross-functional project organization • Good command of English and Armenian is a must What we offer Our success depends on the people of all genders who come to work every single day with a sense of purpose and an appetite for progress.
