Internship in Aerosol Science You will join Aerosol Science team with the focus on innovative tools and projects applicable to research and development of reduced risk products (RRPs). The team is combining pioneering measurement tools with computational modeling to characterize and optimize the physics and chemistry related aerosol phenomena. In this role, you will support our projects by experimental and computational investigation of flow, heat transfer, and aerosol dynamics. Who we’re looking for you: Currently studying for your Master/PhD degree in Mechanical/Material/Chemical Engineering or Physics Curiosity to get involved in innovative projects in collaboration with a team of scientists Good programming skills preferably in python or C++ Hands on experience with computational physics/fluid dynamics platforms preferably OpenFOAM Curiosity and willingness to contribute to experimental measurements of aerosol formation/evolution Experience with high performance computing (HPC) or simulations on cloud is a plus Experience with version controlling tools (e.g., github) is a plus Fluent in English Roles & Objectives In this internship project, you will focus on: Setting up simulation cases to model flow, heat transfer, and aerosol dynamics Collaboration with experimental colleagues to obtain appropriate data for models verification Contribution to design and development of new product concepts with ideas from simulations/experiments Contribution to design and development of a test bench for measurements of aerosol formation/evolution Communication of the results with appropriate visualization and plotting Documentation and report of the results and codes in the form of scripts and technical documents Preparing update presentations for interim and final reports What we offer Our success depends on our talented employees who come to work here every single day with a sense of purpose and an appetite for progress.
