TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT • Contract Type – Permanent • Work location - Philip Morris Korea, 10, Gukjegeumyung-ro, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, Korea YOUR ‘DAY TO DAY’ • Lead and manage PMK External Affairs (incl. Scientific Affairs) strategy planning in tune with PMK’s Objectives/goals and PMI’s strategies, closely working with PMK Management Team and Regional HQ • Perform as a key control tower to create alignment within EA function in terms of identifying, analyzing, and addressing key issues and opportunities related to the protection and improvement of PMK business from regulatory, fiscal, sustainable, and scientific areas • Lead building communications scenarios outbound both to prepare preemptively and to cope with situations regarding regulatory, fiscal, sustainable, and scientific environments in Korea, closely working with relevant functions such as Communications • Lead and manage sustainability strategies to keep PMK External Affairs strategy aligned the nation-wide sustainability initiative: ESG • Establish, operate, and enhance networks with government bodies and NGOs on the ESG matters, esp. one of Korea’s biggest environmental NGO: Green Fund KEY FUNCTIONAL SKILLS Strategic thinking • Ability to approach issues from a variety of perspectives and use all available resources to solve them without looking at them in a fragmented perspective • Ability to plan and implement strategies to anticipate and proactively respond Message creation skills • Clear: Easy to understand and remember • Concise: Direct and to the point without unnecessary insertions • Credible: Believable in that the messages are backed by proof points • Compelling: Catches your audiences’ attention and inspires them • Consistent: Repeatable and flexible enough Communication skills • A logical, schematic personality who can persuade other parties and has an active and sociable personality KEY LEADERSHIP SKILLS • Strong at collaboration in and outside in line with “Consumer First: We work as one PMI team” • Excellent at conflict management • High level of learning agility in line with “Consumer First: We are agile in our Ways of Working” • Excellent at “Forward Looking”, esp. on: “We are curious; we seek input and ideas from diverse sources to continuously improve and innovate” “We make timely decisions informed by facts” “We take ownership for our decisions, holding ourselves and others accountable WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR • Minimum 12-year experience at global or international companies (minimum 3-year experience in leading an organization unit) in the fields of external and public affairs • Good combination of strategic and field experiences preferred • Experience working at pharmaceutical industries preferred • Media or law related experience preferred • Proficient in English: good command of written and spoken English • Sufficient experience on people management WHAT WE OFFER Our success depends on the men and women who come to work every single day with a sense of purpose and an appetite for progress.
