You’ll be solving testing problems that span the whole world: a smoke-free world. Your ‘day to day’ You will be employed in Shenzhen under Philip Morris Electronics Shenzhen (PMES). PMES operates as a subsidiary of Philip Morris International, Inc. We are looking for a Senior Engineer, RCA for our Reliability Testing Team. Responsibilities • As champion to provide necessary technical advice to the factory/ external failure analysis team to categorize the failure, deliver a precise failure analysis report within timeframe to maintain the early field failure analysis operation. • High level of collaboration and interaction with different department such as manufacturing, quality, product development, reverse logistic operations and supplier is necessary. Conclusion of the analysis work is summarized as 8D report for driving corrective/improvement action. • Key player in failure analysis planning and setup at new product introduction phase such as deriving the fault tree, error code assignment, failure analysis data format and collection method. • Maintaining the failure analysis database and analyze the trend data, providing necessary data and summary report to key stakeholder. • Maintaining the defect tracking system and driving the team for on-time status update and closure. Who we’re looking for • Bachelor degree in Engineering or any related disciplines. • Minimum 8 years of experience in consumer electronic engineering field and preferably focus on failure and root cause analysis • Strong analytical and problem solving ability with desire to perform hands-on work or work with cross functional Subject Matter Expert which support remotely. • Must possess excellent skills in analytical, problem solving and capable of performing tasks independently • Understanding the physics of failures on consumer electronic product and determine associated risks • Excellent communication skills in English, ability to seamlessly work with cross-functional teams and supplier between Europe & APAC • Good knowledge and experience with electrical characterization tools and lab test equipment (oscilloscope, EDX ,SEM, spectrum analyzer, cross sectioning, X-ray, CT scan etc) • Fact-based and result driven, Curiosity to dig out root cause and failure mechanism, self-learning and independent. • Good reporting and presentation skill.
