Your ‘day to day’ You will be employed in Hong Kong under Philip Morris Asia Limited (PMAL). PMAL operates as a subsidiary of Philip Morris International, Inc. You will support the Smoke-Free Products at electronic Product Development Center (ePDC) in Hong Kong. The impact of this role stems from three key pillars: Cost Modelling • Estimating the target cost of our electronic devices to optimize costs and serve as a tool for supplier negotiation, • (i) Clean-sheet development of strategic components and collaborating cross-functionally with product development and engineering to improve accuracy. • (i) Conduct cost / price analyses using statistical tools, market trend data and parametric models • (ii) Assist in cost estimates for new and proposed product costs Strategic Cost Management • Manage the cost reporting process to ensure transparency, consistency and timeliness, • Improve cost visibility of new products through monthly analysis and reports and supporting RF process • Lead in driving and monitoring cost prevention. • Support Supervisor in scenario planning for achieving long-range device price evolution roadmap. • Prepare, review and obtain approval of investment budget for new projects Value Engineering & Analysis • Ensure that new projects reflect a strong value proposition to consumers at the best production cost possible • Co-lead workshops with NPS, focusing on achieving the right balance between customer value and cost • Collaborate with ODMs to ensure full BOM transparency and promote and assess supplier-led innovation • Develop and promote key tools and processes to continuously improve the value engineering process (e.g. robust fact base, clean-sheet template, value stream mapping, balanced scorecard) Who we’re looking for • University degree in Supply Chain, Operations Research, Engineering, Economics, or Finance • Minimum 8 years or above working experience in costing and project management • Strong Project Management, with ability to lead development / improvement of Project Management tools and process • Experience developing automated cost models, cost database, cost factors, and/or cost estimating relationships is required • Network, database, information systems, or software development understanding is a plus • Experience in electronics or plastics industry and contract manufactures is a plus • Consistently displays a customer centric approach to work and highly adaptable to changes and ambiguity • Creative thinker that is able to anticipate changes and produce solutions • Comfortable to work in dynamic cross-functional teams and in a multi-cultural environment • Advance proficiency in MS Excel • Project Management and working knowledge of Tableau / Power BI is a plus • Fluent English is a must What we offer Our success depends on the talents who come to work every single day with a sense of purpose and an appetite for progress.
