Your ‘day to day’ You will be employed under Philip Morris China (PMCN), PMCN operates as a subsidiary of Philip Morris International, Inc. Based in Beijing office you will report to the Finance Head, Asia East, and will be responsible for translating short and long-term strategies into practical financial plans and targets. You will also act as co-pilot to provide professional Finance support to partners by analyzing business performance data to guide sound decision-making. Responsibilities: • Business Partnering: advise and support business partners. Work closely with other departments, support them in financial impact of their actions and projects, challenge & guide departments by evaluating results from financial point of view. Combine a deep understanding of business operations and the commercial landscape with finance expertise to build value. Translate strategy into action and ensure that Finance accountabilities are led and delivered efficiently across the organization. • Financial Analysis: Derive critical and insightful analysis by selecting from and examining data from a broad range of sources. Identify patterns and make recommendations for value creation. Evaluate the efficiency of commercial plans and programs by integrating sophisticated financial analysis to support business decisions. Eloquent decisions based on research and multiple data sources and share business and financial insights to partners with a compelling and impactful narrative. • Process Excellence: Challenge the status quo and drive continuous improvement in business performance. Apply Finance processes, carrying out standards and practices across the business. Apply and benchmark Finance processes to drive outstanding ways of working. Set up end-to-end business processes to deliver successful outcomes and assess their efficiency. Leverage knowledge of Process Design to identify and improve/drive new processes and standards with management of related risks. • Risk management: Take ownership for risk management activities. Develop innovative approaches to leading significant business risks optimally and efficiently. In partnership with Risk & Controls, provide agile controls and process guidance to enable innovation and changes in the business model and commercial engine. • Finance and Business Reporting: Design, prepare and deliver executive presentations / business updates to local, regional, PMI management as well as external audiences. This includes, but is not limited to, strategy and budget presentations, PMI earnings calls and other PMI investors’ presentations, local management team meetings, employee briefings and key meetings with external audiences in particular key government officials and public groups, etc. • Project management: Understand and embed PBO (Project Based Organisation) ways of working, to synchronise, prioritise and deliver work across Finance. Support teams in reviewing and managing delivery of key projects in line with timelines and budgets, through effective project and budget management skills. Who we’re looking for: • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Business Administration. • A minimum of 10 years of multi-function and multi-country experience preferably in Finance, Planning and / or Commercial roles. • Ability to operate in an ambiguous landscape, taking action and generating confidence for the team in times of ambiguity. • Excellent command of English and Chinese and able to work in multinational working environment. • Ability to build relationships and networks internally and externally. • Ability to influence and guide decisions by combining respectful questions, has high level of communication & planning skills; and strong business mindset. • Ability to champion and lead change, ability to work with partners efficiently to deliver change programs. • Candidate who are open for relocation preferred.
