Purpose of the job We are looking for a Risk Manager Insurance & Credit who will coordinate, maintain and analyze PMI's global corporate programs to ensure that risks inherent to the business operations are adequately covered at a reasonable cost in line with the PMI risk management philosophy. Similarly, you will support and manage the credit risk of PMI worldwide, coordinate with centers of expertise and affiliates and advise on trade finance instruments to secure PMI’s receivables. You will provide effective and efficient support to PMI affiliates on all risk management matters and maintain close cooperation with internal and external stakeholders. YOUR ‘DAY TO DAY’ Insurance • Manage renewals of PMI corporate insurance programs in cooperation with internal and external stakeholders. You will ensure the completeness and correctness of reported insurable values and follow-up and resolve any identified discrepancies. • Provide effective financial support for PMI’s Captive management activities • Manage and assist affiliates in claim handling activities in close collaboration with surveyors and claim personnel from insurance companies to ensure swift resolution of sustained losses and timely payment of financial indemnifications. You will perform periodic claim reviews with underwriters, brokers and PMI partners. • Develop statistical tools and benchmarks to identify loss trends and recommend corrective actions. • Provide advisory services, technical support, training and insurance expertise to PMI affiliates and global functions on core risk management aspects, corporate programs coverage, applicable limits, deductibles, exclusions and interaction with local insurance policies. • As part of strategic business initiatives, manage program structure changes as requested. • Develop and implement financial analyses for corporate program renewals to facilitate cost comparison and preparation of operational budget. • Coordinate the policy documentation review to ensure that terms and conditions are in line with negotiated terms and provisions. Credit and trade finance • Provide effective expert advice and support to PMI affiliates with respect to the implementation of credit limits and payment terms as well as trade finance tools to secure PMI sales across the world and to optimize working capital. In this position, you will engage with financial institutions to structure and set up trade finance securities and negotiate terms and conditions leveraging on PMI’s relationship banks. • You will maintain and further develop factoring and discounting programs in all regions and coordinate activation of the programs with internal and external stakeholders. • Ensure effective reporting of major customers, review past dues and implement solutions to minimize exposure, engaging with regional and/or affiliate management. Who we’re looking for: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance or Business Administration. • Solid experience in Finance and/or Treasury, or leading Insurance company and/or experience in trade finance and credit activities. • You must have a proven track of international experience. • Excellent numerical skills and good command of Excel is a must. • Ability to work under time pressure and to handle several tasks at the same time. • Achievement orientation, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, teamwork, cooperation, and creative and critical thinking are all required characteristic. • Curiosity, highly collaborative. Eagerness to learn and grow. • Clear and constructive communication and presentation skills. • Capabilities to prioritize work to meet changing requirements. • Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills. • Fluent in English, both written and oral.
