Your ‘day to day’ You will be employed in Hong Kong under Philip Morris Asia Limited (PMAL). PMAL operates as a subsidiary of Philip Morris International, Inc., you will work at electronic Product Development Center (ePDC) which is under PMAL. As the Quality Manager ODM (Original Design and Manufacturing), you will lead the end-to-end Quality of ODM programs as defined in the development, quality and supply agreements. The products include electronic devices and consumables (liquids, closed-pod systems). You will ensure the ODM delivers Quality evidence / documentation / reports/ samples / products in a timely manner and in full, assuring compliance to all quality management systems and regulatory requirements. You will coordinate all activities with relevant PMI team members, ensuring that we approve / review / veto /acknowledge according to the agreement(s). Responsibilities: • Collaborate with all internal teams including Product Category Management, Program Management, Product Quality Assurance (PQA), Compliance and Regulatory Affairs. Establish the Quality Technical Agreement (QTA), The QTA should include all aspects of the Quality performance, including product development, launch and production. • With support from internal Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), ensure the ODM deploys, executes, delivers based on a Risk Assessment methodology throughout the development lifecycle (APQP), to anticipate issues and address these as early as possible during development. • Mobilize the extended Quality organization’s SMEs, to plan the performance across each phase of the project and synchronize milestones with the product category and project managers. • Lead the program development progress (quality stream focus), and where needed mobilize PQA SMEs and/or re-direct discussion to PMI review boards (i.e. where PMI needs to review and approve). • Synchronize master plans with Project Management and represent PQA in PMI’s management reviews (launch decisions, risks analysis, portfolio management) and Quarterly Business Reviews. • Lead Quality performance per the QTA, ensure corrective actions efficiency and management of KPIs. • Lead the development and evolution towards excellence by reflecting, learning and sponsoring initiatives to continuously improve the efficiency of the role. Who We're Looking For: • Bachelor degree in Material Science or Chemical Engineering preferred, or Mechanical/ Electronics Engineering subject area. • Experience in product development and quality assurance in a R&D environment, experience with the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) methodology is preferred. • Technical knowledge of portable battery powered devices and connected consumables • Ability to operate within structured quality systems and experience in regulated product categories • Expertise in application and deployment of quality tools and methodologies (Risk Assessment, Failure Mode Analysis, 8D, CAPA) • Experience in managing the principles set out in QMS Standard ISO9001 is required, knowledge of ISO13485 (medical device) or ISO 16949 (automotive) is preferred. • Understanding of standards related to risk management (ISO 31000), or usability engineering (IEC 62366 or equivalent) and consumer product safety • Demonstrated ability to network, seize opportunities, communicate, present and influence at all levels of the organization, as well as to build effective teams and foster a strong collaborative culture internally and with external customers • Fluent in English, Chinese is a plus What we offer Our success depends on our talented employees who come to work here every single day with a sense of purpose and an appetite for progress.
