Your ‘day to day’ You will be employed under Philip Morris Electronics Shenzhen (PMES). PMES operates as a subsidiary of Philip Morris International, Inc. You will play a significant role in the development and implementation of data analytic and machine learning algorithm for edge computing, design the data aiming for to understand user behaviors towards target applications. Responsibilities: • Collaborate with product development teams to design, mine and analyze the data required for learning the device & user behaviors. • Research and implement appropriate ML algorithms and tools, develop machine learning applications according to requirements, to train and implement the model into the edge device. • Work with IoT cloud and data analytic teams to distribute the computation resource between cloud and edge. • Continuously improve the model to enhance the user experience & device efficiency. • Track R&D results and to work with research institutions for projects. Who we’re looking for • University degree (MSc, MPhys or PhD) in computer science, mathematics, statistics or similar field. • 3+ years experience in data analytic or machine learning for IoT applications, e.g. automatic temperature control for smart thermostats, predictive device maintenance, etc. • Experiences in data labelling, statistical modelling (regression, clustering), supervised & unsupervised learning, DNN models for different applications. • Experiences in identifying valuable data, data collection method, processing of structured and unstructured data, mining trends & pattern from data, predictive modelling. • Strong mindset of real-time implementation, to ensure the algorithm developed is realistic for real-time & scalable applications. • Hands on experience in coding with Python, R, Java, C++; Software tools, such as TensorFlow/ PyTorch/ Keras/ Caffe/ Spark/ Hadoop/ Hive/ NoSQL. • Good command of English and communication skill.
