Your 'day to day' You will be employed in Shenzhen under Philip Morris Electronics Shenzhen (PMES). PMES operates as a subsidiary of Philip Morris International, Inc. You will support the Smoke-Free Products at electronic Product Development Center (ePDC). As a Senior Engineer in the Innovation Management Team, you will be responsible to orchestrate the innovation in the electronics field, to identify and execute with external partners an integrated portfolio of innovations and initiatives in order to deliver new proof of concept proposition in area of priorities defined jointly with the Consumer Department. Furthermore, you will leverage a network of senior experts and partners in the area of focus and foster exchanges among them. More specifically, you will • Apply cross-functional innovation methodologies to target and scope new opportunity in a defined technology space. • Identify and establish a portfolio of external innovation initiative and partnerships and drive them to Proof of Concept. • Build business cases and act as Subject Matter Expert during establishment of partnering framework. • Actively manage external partnership including frequent visits and prolonged onsite assignment in consultation with internal and external Subject Matter experts. • Build network of senior experts and partners in the area of focus and foster exchanges among them. • Contribute to build knowledge management maps and generate innovation leads in his area of specialty. • Act as technical support in cross-functional tech transfer projects to ensure integration of technology into PMI portfolio of calendar initiatives. Who we're looking for • University degree or PhD in Electronics Engineering • Significant experience in driving breakthrough innovation in consumer electronics • Experience in startup environment would be a plus • Eager to translate innovation into commercial products • Highly creative while keeping pragmatism.
