Project Engineer

You day to day • Prepares project scope, schedules, technical specification, bid packages and estimates for review by requester and/or management to determine project feasibility. • Provides design layouts, preliminary drawings, and cost estimates of different solutions/bids which can fulfill project objectives, performs comparison cost analysis and evaluation charts/graphics, and recommends the most suitable and cost effective one to the management for decision. • Updates project group leader and/or engineering management on project status to allow for proper coordination. • Submits properly prepared capital requests and other required substantiating data and information. Upon approval, develops a project plan covering all aspects related to project organization, design and implementation criteria, quality assurance standards, test procedures, cost and schedule control, review process and milestones. • Supervises and/or coordinates the implementation of projects to make certain that they are within budget, on schedule, and technically correct. • Prepares training and maintenance documents related with the equipment in the scope of projects. • Prepares or supervises preparation of equipment specification, drawings and purchase requisitions for equipment and contract services. • Ensures compliance of contractors and/or project team members with company safety and labor relation policies. • When being solicited as a member of a project team, analyzes problems and designs improvements to processes, systems, facilities and/or equipment; provides technical review of project in his/her assigned areas and recommends to the project leader any necessary changes that may alter the project scope. • Establishes professional and team working relationship with peers and partners within and outside the department to develop others’ confidence in his/her communication skills and abilities. • Ensure that EHS is integrated into all activities and adherence to EHS Policy & Procedures is strictly maintained. You: • Hold a university degree in Engineering • Have at least 3 years of experience in end-to-end project execution and management - either in Civil Projects (Plant construction, renovation etc.) - or in Utility Projects (electrical or mechanical) • Experience in leading third-party resources to deliver business results • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English • Have strong communication & interpersonal skills and have attention for detail • Advanced project management skills and understanding of design thinking. • Open minded personality with strong communication & interpersonal skills. • A team player who is customer oriented, good at stakeholder management • Disruptive innovator and a quick learner • IOS (Integrated Operating System - OPEN+) knowledge and contractor management is plus • Previous experience within an Engineering or Manufacturing environment preferred One more thing: at Philip Morris we see equal pay for equal work between woman and men as the baseline standard for equality.
