Your day to day The Payroll and Time unit of the local Payroll Delivery team performs operational and controlling tasks at the affiliate level which are not covered by Krakow team or Payroll provider (AS - Alight Solutions) due to legal requirements and complexity of Swiss payroll (population, tax legislation, non-routine cases). As a Payroll Delivery Specialist you will act as a subject matter expert and be the point of contact for Krakow Payroll delivery team and Payroll provider to ensure compliance with PMI’s guidelines and practices, Swiss legal requirements and controls standards. You partner with other teams and vendors. Accountabilities / Responsibilities • Control and validate monthly payroll • Serve as the focal point for escalation of payroll and time issues which are outside routine delivery due to complexity and where there is flexibility in application of a law/ policy and a PM decision is required. • Act as a subject matter expert: Contribute to resolve escalated more complex cases. Answer to AS regarding country-specific regulatory issues and support decision in implementation where there is flexibility or room for interpretation in the way laws are applied. Support decision-making process in policy changes. Continuous knowledge sharing with Krakow teams. • Implement/Operationalize policies and process as appropriate and ensure proper service delivery • Service management: Work together with requester (People Operation Partner) to complete change documentation/specification for new wage type or additional information requests. Inform AS and/or requestor of outcome of P&C decision. • Liaison/ Support with AS: Provide information to AS on new social agreements (act as the coordinator for translating from business to technical). Respond to AS requests for • information/ clarification around processes affecting payroll and time management e.g. request for further clarification of garnishment details. Support AS (via clarification and responding to questions) during configuration of policies and labor agreements. Control and validate the implementation of changes • Payroll Compliance and Reporting: Provide AS with Client Group interpretation for implementation of legal changes (including Collective Agreements), inform AS of • all audit data requests, respond to audit request from federal, state and local government authorities, host auditors during audit reviews, inform AS of agreed changes resulting from the audit. • Maintain and improve quality standards within the area of responsibility as well as proactively identify and bring forward opportunities for improvement, as appropriate. We’re looking for someone with: • College/University • Years of working experience: 1-2 years in HR in the Compensation and Benefit area or Finance • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and French • Digital literacy around P&C technology • Employee-centric mindset and able to work in Net Promoter System • Working experience in multicultural environment • Ability to interact with key members of affiliate leadership and to translate technical terms into business language and vice versa • Ability to build effective trusted relationships with business Partner/ Centre of Expertise and other key PM and AS team members • Ability to manage the local vendor relationship in coordination with the Krakow teams – can demonstrate control of complex processes Internal and external relationship • Employees (including SMT and expats), • P&C Managers/Directors • Shared Service Center organization (P&C operational teams, Global Mobility, Finance) • External: KPMG, tax authorities, Alight Solutions, Social Security and Unemployment office Skills • Attention to details • Curious • Teamwork / Collaboration • Problem solving • Figure oriented What we offer Our success depends on our talented employees who come to work here every single day with a sense of purpose and an appetite for progress.
