As a Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable Analyst. you will ensure RBH compliance with applicable Principles and Practices (P&Ps), address and resolve customer billing and payment related issues and inquiries, support the Shared Service Centre (SSC) Customer Master Data (CMD) team, execute month-end, year-end, and periodic customer/vendor validation and monitoring activities, execute AR related RRP processes and reconciliations. Primary Accountabilities: AR (Account Receivable) Activities: 1. Liaise with SSC and the business to ensure on a best efforts basis that customer payments are processed in a timely manner and in accordance with P&Ps and controls. 2. Execute the Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF) collection process by ensuring NSF items are actioned in a timely manner and seen through to collection. Escalate issues to Supervisor as required. 3. Monitor and action Trade AR open aging items by working with internal teams, SSC, and 3rd party collection agency. 4. Execute month-end and year-end AR related processes (e.g. ensure all goods issued have been billed, block/unblock billing, etc.). 5. Execute PMI 10-C Know Your Customer P&B by performing required reviews during the required timeframes, and any additional monitoring/maintenance to ensure compliance. 6. Support CMD process by assisting SSC CMD team liaise with internal teams to investigate and resolve issues and ensure systems reflect correct data. Monitor alignment in key fields between systems containing CMD (e.g. MyStore and SAP). 7. Execute AR related RRP processes accurately and in a timely manner by performing analysis and reconciliations, creating journal entries, and following up with open and reconciling items (e.g. Arvato Newfoundland entries, Arvato Open Items follow-up with the RRP team and Arvato, GL account reconciliations, etc.). 8. Ad hoc activities as required by Supervisor or Manager P2P (Account Payable) Activities: 1. Review, validate, scan and prioritize third party vendor invoices as well as FI invoices (e.g. statutory payments, etc.). 2. Perform cheque payments and manage CCAA payments validation. 3. Ensure compliance with fiscal and legal requirements and applicable P&Ps and controls (e.g. annual validation for vendors, etc.). 4. Ad hoc activities as required by Supervisor or Manager. Education: • University Degree or College Diploma in Accounting or Finance Functional skills: • Basic (intermediate preferred) understanding of accounting concepts • Able to organize, prioritize, and execute multiple and competing time-sensitive priorities within a Shared Service Centre structure • Intermediate analytical and Excel skills • Able to demonstrate customer centricity by effectively managing internal and external customner expectations while firmly enforcing practices, policies, and procedures. • Able to handle sensitive and confidential information in a professional manner • Able to work well in team as well as independently with minimal supervision. PC skills: • SAP • Excel • BIDW Work experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience in an AP and AR role in a medium/large organization with complex processes.
