Your ‘day to day’ You will be employed under Philip Morris Electronics Shenzhen (PMES). PMES operates as a subsidiary of Philip Morris International, Inc. As a Subject Matter Expert (SME) you will lead Design Verification (DV) Project Management with internal project members, including external consultants, and vendors. Ensure that project scopes, budgets, schedules, and timelines are developed and effectively run from project initiation to closure, while adhering to all company standards. Additionally, you will: • Develop business justifications, scope, and resource requirements to support management reviews and decision-making processes. Serve as the knowledgeable resource to bring projects to realization. • Review, evaluate, and handle extensive amounts of research and technical information, as well as existing documents. Conduct knowledge management through data compilation, review, and storage, in accordance with the requirements of the company, FDA, or any other relevant accreditation authority. • Participate in development of strategies and activity plans that will improve engineering pipeline projects and capabilities for future needs. Coordinate the delivery of technical activities among internal and external partners to fulfill the identified project scope and objectives, ultimately ensuring successful project closures. • Ensure compliance with the company's Compliance Policies, standards, and applicable laws related to the aforementioned activities. Promote the integration of these policies among team members and implement suitable processes to safeguard the confidentiality of critical information. Who we’re looking for • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Software or Mechanical Engineering) with a strong focus on embedded electronic systems. • 5-10 years of experience, preferably in electronic design and/or product testing at both the module and consumer product levels. Relevant industries may include consumer electronics product manufacturing, medical device manufacturing, scientific instrument manufacturing, automation products/services providers, or design consultancies. • Experience in project and budget management. • Proficiency in English is a must, and knowledge of Mandarin would be a plus. • Possesses an analytical mindset and can approach problems in a structured manner. Strong skills in test planning and Design of Experiment (DoE). • Familiarity with device development and characterization processes is important. • Awareness and understanding of Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (DFMEA) processes. • Ability to develop testing methods and protocols. • Knowledge of industry test standards from IEC, IEEE, UL, ASTM and ISO. • Experience in failure investigation and root cause analysis (RCA) for consumer products.
