Your ‘day to day’ You will be employed in Hong Kong under Philip Morris Asia Limited (PMAL). PMAL operates as a subsidiary of Philip Morris International, Inc., you will work at electronic Product Development Center (ePDC) which is under PMAL. As the Manager of Quality Development, your role involves defining quality plans and goals for new product/technology development projects and strategic improvement initiatives. You will collaborate with internal and external partners, including the steering committee, to ensure that the results align with agreed-upon requirements. Additionally, you will establish metrics to supervise and ensure that quality goals are met throughout the various phases of the project. More specifically you will: • Ensure the Reliability and Quality standards are clearly formulated in the project briefs in the program/ project plans. • Drive the Risk Assessment methodology improvement and execution, to anticipate issues and handle these as early as possible during development. • Mobilize the extended Quality organization’s subject matter experts, to plan project Stage Gate deliverables across each phase and align milestones with the project manager. • Plan the assessment of new Suppliers capabilities in the area of quality and reliability. • Lead the Technology Transfer from R&D to manufacturing, and across suppliers, always ensuring the right level of design verification and documented evidence is achieved. • Maintain important metrics to supervise the Quality organization efficiency in project tasks delivery. • Support the organization’s cultural change towards project quality excellence, by sponsoring initiatives to keep the quality tools and approaches used at PMI abreast of business needs. Who we’re looking for • Engineering Degree with 5-10 years of relevant experience in product development and quality assurance, experience with the APQP methodology is a bonus. • Technical knowledge of portable battery powered devices and connected consumables. • Ability to operate within structured quality systems and experience in regulated product categories • Expertise in application and deployment of quality tools and methodologies (Risk Assessment, Failure Mode Analysis, 8D, CAPA) • Experience in leading the principles set out in QMS Standard ISO9001 is required, knowledge of ISO13485 (medical device) or ISO 16949 (automotive). • Understanding of standards relating with risk management or usability engineering and consumer product safety. • Proven track record to network, seize opportunities, communicate, present and influence at all levels of the organization, as well as to build effective teams and foster a strong collaborative culture internally and with external customers • Fluent English, Chinese is a plus.
