So, wherever you join us, you’ll enjoy the freedom to dream up and deliver better, brighter solutions and the space to move your career forward in endlessly different directions. **Preferably with NZ or AU background** **Hybrid Set up in Rockwell** Accountabilities: Performance standards • Perform weekly/monthly/yearly (or other frequency) payroll tasks following PMI and statutory Guidelines (SOX, GRC, GPS, Data Privacy, Info Security) and statutory regulations, e.g., data consolidation and validation, sharing data/payroll instructions with Payroll Provider (outsourced model) / input to payroll system and payroll calculation (in-house model), validate payroll output, request/make necessary corrections, obtain payroll approval, process payment of salaries and statutory contributions; in selected markets – perform similar activities on payments to benefits recipients • Address non-standard cases impacting payroll processing, incl. manual payments, off-cycle payroll runs • Answer payroll-related requests from employees, other departments, and Payroll Provider. If needed, engage relevant parties (Payroll Provider, Local P&ED, Salaries and Wages, Treasury, Tax advisors) to provide resolution. Register requests in ticketing system. • For selected markets - validate Time and Attendance data impacting payroll calculation • For selected markets - execute administrative benefits tasks to ensure that employees are enrolled to benefits programs and benefits payments/deductions are accurately reflected in payroll. Identifying/reporting eligible population. Determine employees contribution based on defined principles. Validate and process invoices. • For selected markets - calculate local bonuses, gross to net, tax impact simulations • Prepare/consolidates payroll reports and share it with other departments to enable proper booking of charges, tax, and statutory remittances. • Prepare payroll-relevant statutory reports for authorities and institutions. • (Switzerland only) Process standard and GM employees master data (incl. tax and social security liability) in HR system. Prepare and store supporting documentation, so it is available for auditing. Compliance • Perform and evidence payroll controls in accordance with PMI Guidelines (SOX /PMI Chart of Control, Data Privacy, and Info Security) and statutory regulations • Support collection of required documentation for internal/external audits, e.g., SOX testing, Corporate Audits • Perform root cause analysis of payroll incidents, propose and implement preventive/corrective actions • Ensure changes in payroll calculation/processing up are properly tested and validated following internal and external standards Cooperation with Payroll Providers • Day-to-day cooperation with Payroll Providers, e.g., exchange information/clarification, provide instructions, request/implement corrections, agree on treatment of non-standard cases • Agree with Payroll Provider on key payroll dates (Payroll Calendar) and communicate them to impacted teams: P&ED, Finance, IT. Agree on and communicate any adjustments, if needed. • Create PO and GR for Payroll Provider services and ensure timely settlement of payments. Continuous improvements / Projects • Propose improvements to payroll processes to increase compliance, efficiency, standardization, and employee experience. • Lead small/medium payroll projects, such as continuous improvement on current operations, payroll migrations etc. • Act as SME in projects impacting payroll, such as creation of new company code, introduction of incentive new plan, change in benefit plan etc. • Test or validate result of tests performed by external vendors or IT to achieve base for approval of system changes. Business continuity • Keep operational manuals up to date • Serve as back-up for payrolls in scope of the team • On-board new team members/fulfill role of buddy • Participate in periodic review and test Business Continuity Plans Challenges: complexity: various markets in scope, with different regulations, vendors/systems, calendars; diverse population: all assignment types and cross-boarders, all salary grades, CLA and non-CLA population; tight deadlines; requirement of highest accuracy – mistakes impacting employees and exposing the Company. Interactions: Payroll Providers, Salaries and Wages, Treasury, Finance, Risk and Controls, CAD, external auditors, Global Mobility, TRO, IT, Employee Care, Payroll and Time Process Team, Tax advisors KPIs: Payroll Accuracy, Payroll Timeliness, CSAT, Compliance, Payroll Controls Education: Colleagues/University Qualifications/Certifications/Licenses: MA/BA in Human Resources, Finance or Business Administration; Payroll/ T&A/Benefits processing expertise; Understanding of SOX/chart of controls, data privacy and IT security principles. Professional experience: 2 years’ experience in in-house or outsourced payroll processing (preferred) or Finance/HR (desirable) delivery process and systems. Skills: Numerical Skills; Advanced with Excel; Knowledge of SAP (preferrable) or other HR systems; Understanding of Employment Tax and Social Insurance regulatory requirements; Customer centric mindset, problem solving, priority setting, ability to work under pressure of time; Advanced/Proficient in English (other foreign language is an asset) Focus Areas of Leadership Energies: Forward Looking, Consumer First Other considerations: 3 levels of evaluation Level 1 performs payroll tasks for 3-5 markets incl. 1 with medium complexity*; independently performs routine tasks; back-ups peers in case of absences; communicates with Payroll Provider to ensure daily operations; performs root cause analysis, implements corrective actions, and proposes preventive measures; leads small continuous improvement projects on current operations (e.g., enhancement of existing payroll control) Level 2 performs payroll tasks for 3-5 markets incl. 3 with medium complexity*; deals with complex/exceptional cases; on-boards newcomers and/or manages interns; closely works with Payroll Provider to overcome issues in daily operations; performs root cause analysis and implements corrective and preventive actions; acts as SME in local projects impacting payroll (e.g., implementation of new incentive plan in one market); leads medium continuous improvement projects on current operations (e.g. additional payroll controls) Level 3 performs payroll tasks for 3-5 markets incl. 3 with high complexity or 1 with very high complexity*; is able to advise in complex/exceptional cases; acts as deputy for TL/Manager; leads discussions with Payroll Provider focusing on particular issues, as well as overall cooperation, e.g. leading post-payroll calls/service review calls; performs root cause analysis of payroll incidents, leads implementation of corrective and preventive actions, keeps stakeholders informed about incidents; leads medium payroll projects (e.g. payroll migration); leads large continuous improvement projects (e.g. BCP standardization for all markets in scope of PYD) *There are markets that due to high volume and complexity do not allow handling more than 1 payroll, e.g. Switzerland, Poland. #LIjobs
