Joining the Digital Products Portfolio The Digital Consumer Engagement Products portfolio plays a critical role in delivering PMI’s Smoke-Free Future. We are enabling digital services to our consumers and retailers by building platforms to communicate our vision to broader society. Together with talent from multiple business and technology functions across our footprint, we are delivering a premium experience for our consumers. When you join this team, you will work in a dynamic, diverse, and warm environment. You will be primarily focusing on defining your Digital Product vision, regularly engaging with your customers to gather feedback and understand their needs in order to maximize value. You will be part of all stages of Digital Product incremental value delivery. As a Tech Lead, you will collaborate with the solution & domain architect in making the Digital Product vision, reality. You ensure that the solution getting implemented adheres to the design & you constructively challenge where you believe improvements and opportunities exist. You are relentless in your pursuit of engineering excellence, even when that means challenging the status-quo. You are the champion of delivering solutions that meet the needs of the business design team and are loved by your users and customers (e.g. through user research or user-centric design). You’ll be acutely aware that transformation requires a ‘roll up your sleeves’ mentality. JOIN US! WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? ● 5+ years’ experience as a software engineer ● Bachelor’s degree or Master’s – ideally in IT related field ● Demonstrated ability in building, launching and growing products ● Ability to deliver results in global, matrixed environments comprised of internal and external stakeholders ● Good stakeholder management, ability to build trust and rapport with internal and external stakeholders ● Proven track record in fast-paced and ambiguous environments ● Organizational skills to effectively manage multiple projects with tight deadlines ● Good communication skills, should be able to articulate thoughts and ideas to engineering and non engineering audiences ● Experience in leading a small team ● Proven track record in building highly-available and scalable distributed systems ● Expertise in all common AWS Cloud technologies, Knowledge of CI/CD tools and workflows ● A keen eye to quality with regards to following and establishing good coding practices, improving code coverage ● Extensive experience in developing, maintaining and running APIs ● Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles ● Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Node.js (Javascript / Typescript), and with a basic understanding of SQL ● Good understanding of microservice architecture, API driven design, event-based architecture, file ingestion design, and familiarity with APIs designs such as microservices and REST ● Experience in managing Microservices that leverages AWS Lambda, EC2, API Gateways and familiar DB resources like Postgres and Dynamo DB ● Knowledge of AWS stack (non-deep stack) and an additional understanding of deep stack is recommended ● Understanding of IOC (Infrastructure as Code) and experience with Terraform and DevOps processes ● Professional scrum certification (Product owner, Scale, Agile Leadership) a plus WHAT WE OFFER YOU ● Wide range of trainings, optional language classes, further education and professional qualification support possibility ● Private medical and dental care, life insurance ● Lunch card (Sodexo), Multisport & Cafeteria program ● Hybrid model of work and flexible working arrangements ● Employee pension plan ● Free bike and car parking for all employees ● Eligibility to participate in Copyrighted Work program (possibility to increase tax-deductible costs) HOW WILL YOU MAKE HISTORY WITH US? ● Establishing a strong engineering culture within the backend chapter, with focus on code quality, scalability, and maintainability ● Lead technical discussions within the team and be the go-to person for the team for guidance and troubleshooting ● Understand, implement and measure key Business and Engineering metrics around performance, quality and availability, and work regularly with the team to push the boundaries and improve them periodically ● Foster and build a culture of actively engaging team members in engineering and design discussions ● Set up solid process and practices around code quality, conventions and standards ● Help delivery teams in grooming and prioritisation of Technical Debts ● Leading and Contributing towards organisation wide tech initiatives and transformations ● Mentoring and coach backend software engineers ● Help the organisation in building a top quality team by participating in hiring initiatives Please note that only on-line applications will be taken into consideration.
