Accountant

Philip Morris Sales & Marketing is looking for a person to execute a support of the accounting process, as Accountant. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: • Oversee over all general ledger accounting activities to ensure adherence to National Accounting Standards and US GAP requirements. • Ensure compliance with all tax calculation, accounting and reporting requirements, and ensure timely payment of tax liabilities. • Oversee and manage treasury process in line with internal standards, including bank relationships. • Liaise with auditors and external advisors to ensure smooth completion of audits. • Ensure full compliance with all legislative and internal standards. • Ensure accurate tracking and recording of company assets, depreciation and inventory counts. • Perform regular balance sheet reconciliations and analysis. • Manage all accounts payable processes in line with internal requirements. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: • University degree in Accounting / Finance or Economics. • 2+ years' experience in Accounting or Financial Controlling. • Strong knowledge of National Accounting Standards. Knowledge of US GAAP if preferable. • Strong knowledge of Moldova Tax Legislation. • Language skills: Romanian/Russian - fluent; English - upper intermediate. • Proficient user of Microsoft Office products, especially Excel.
