Week of Women at PMI
For International Women's Day, we shone the spotlight on inspiring female role models at PMI
International Women's Day focuses on equality and celebrates the economic, political, cultural, and social achievements of women. At PMI, we wanted to take the opportunity to show our appreciation for some of our female employees around the world.
PROJECT 42: INSPIRING WOMEN AT PMI
In the lead up to International Women's Day, we shared the stories of 42 women from across PMI who are a true inspiration. These women were nominated by several of their colleagues for being courageous and kind, for juggling work, family, passions and demands, and for having a positive impact on the world. They represent lots of different functions and levels in our business, and come from all over the world.

Five women in focus
WOMEN DESERVE THEIR FAIR SHARE
Women are central to our leadership, our culture and to how we think about the consumers we engage with. Today, women represent 35 percent of all management roles at PMI and we are committed to growing this figure to at least 40 percent by 2022.
That's why as part of our Week of Women activities, we took a disruptive approach in how we engage our men at PMI, culminating in an immersive day of discussion and learning on International Women’s Day, centered on everyone having their “fair share.” The company hosted conference FAIR SHARE: THE FUTURE OF COMMUNICATING WITH WOMEN on March 8, 2019 aimed to help male employees become gender bilingual and to break down any wall that can exist between colleagues, and included networking opportunities focused on celebrating the benefits of inclusion and diversity.
