Jakarta, 18 December 2018 – Indonesian retail industry continues to face rapid changes. This change is essential to experience and anticipate so as the traditional retailers could perform well and survive. These challenges start to have impact and absolutely become a work in progress for various sides, including the government and private sector.
Realizing the importance of collaboration in empowering traditional retailers to help them adapt and develop in this new era, PT HM Sampoerna Tbk. “The digital era requires all businessmen to be creative and innovative. Some are ready, but some others are clearly not ready with this change. It is our duty as industry stakeholders to collectively empower SMEs businessmen, especially traditional retail, through knowledge sharing and capability development,” said Chandra Gregorius, Certified Professional Coach from IGHC.

“The #AyoBerubah enthusiasm brought up in this discussion highly inspires us as traditional retailers. We believe that through proper strategies and coaching, our business can hold out, even grow positively,” said Joko Fitra.
Capability building is the key to the success of sustainable SMEs empowerment program and as one of Indonesian SMEs partner in business development, Sampoerna has initiated SRC program for more than ten years.
