Assessing Risk Reduction

To develop methods to assess whether a product is likely to reduce the risk of smoking-related diseases, we are combining the strengths of classical scientific methods with systems biology, state-of-the-art computational science, and disease modeling.

More than 7,000 smoke constituents have been identified in tobacco smoke, with approximately 70 identified as likely causes of smoking-related disease.
