Welcome to Philip Morris (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (PMM). PMM is an affiliate of Philip Morris International (PMI) and has approximately 500 employees in Malaysia today. In 1968, PMI entered the Malaysian market with the sale and distribution of the Marlboro cigarette brand. Since then, the portfolio has expanded to include L&M, Chesterfield and Sampoerna A. PMM also operates a cast leaf plant in Seremban. This 100% export facility is PMI’s largest globally.
In 2016, PMI announced the decision to build its future on smoke-free products that are a much better choice than cigarette smoking. In Malaysia, the first of these products, a tobacco heating system, is already available, as well as in many markets around the world under the IQOS brand.

PMI is a leading international tobacco company and now we've made a dramatic decision.
We’re building our future on smoke-free products that are a much better choice than continued smoking.
Through it all, we will rely on our strength in building great brands, in innovating and inventing, and in surpassing consumer expectations.
Our company has invested over USD 7.2 billion in scientific research and development of less harmful alternatives to cigarettes.
Alongside government efforts to prevent initiation of tobacco use and encourage smokers to quit, a growing number of public health authorities and experts now believe that giving smokers access to less harmful alternatives can be a major benefit to public health. Their approach is often referred to as 'tobacco harm reduction.'
Tobacco harm reduction can play a role for public health if new products are developed that meet two conditions. First, they need to present less risk than continued cigarette use. Second, they should be satisfying so that current smokers completely switch to them.
