Ultimately, by delivering our smoke-free future, your work could change the lives of a billion smokers. Your ‘day to day’ You will be employed in Hong Kong under Philip Morris Asia Limited (PMAL). PMAL operates as a subsidiary of Philip Morris International, Inc. for the Smoke-Free Products at electronic Product Development Center (ePDC). You will lead electronic accessories projects from initial studies to full completion, utilizing and adhering to Project Management standard methodologies to ensure successful completion of projects/programs within the Product function. Communicate with customers and partners (including steering committee), internal and external, on an ongoing basis to review project scope and provide status updates, coordinate/handle resources (complex projects) and plan, schedule and coordinate project tasks and results. Maintain the relationship with external suppliers. Responsibilities • Understand customer brief and business needs on electronic accessories (AC adaptors, cable, case, softlines…etc.), participate in defining requirements and proposing solutions, and implement the agreed changes to reach the project objectives. Serve as trusted advisor for senior management on project management issues. Ensure that projects fully meet PMI requirements and regulatory standards. Utilize and adhere to Project Management standard methodologies • Lead programs that require coordination within all Product functions. Apply project management, organizational change, service management methodology and usability practices based on known solutions, applications and best methods assuring adherence to standards • Develop and deploy tools, systems, process, communication platforms which increase efficiency, speed and support educated decision-making process and effective execution • Lead multicultural and cross-functional project teams, as well as internal and external resources for the activities of each project. Train, direct, coach and motivate the Project Leader in order to share the experience and develop the team. Communicate regularly with the project team, and ensure project status reports and other project information are prepared and shared to keep the project team update on the project phase • Contribute to business justification of projects by managing scope, benefit-risk analysis, budget and resource requirements to advise and enable management to make decisions that meet long term strategies. Contribute to resolution of project related issues by analyzing, identifying and proposing solutions to achieve the project objectives, provide project status reports and other project information to project partners and senior management on a regular basis • Ensure the development and distribution of quality project-related documentation to all partners, including project plan and schedule, project charter, meeting minutes and post launch evaluation report • Allocate and manage resources for assigned projects based on historical information, input from other staff, and general understanding of project tasks; anticipate and mobilize cross functional resources when required (procurement, legal, technology, finance, 3rd party suppliers and consultant, etc.) • Resolve complex projects/programs related issues by analyzing, identifying and facilitating recommendations to achieve optimal solutions. Communicate and develop networking with management and partners (customers, suppliers) to facilitate efficiency in the project rolls out • Ensure that project information supplied to management is realistic with respect to cost and timing in order to avoid financing problems and delayed completion; provide accurate and properly scoped data to the successful completion of the project • Carry out all of the activities ensuring that PMI Compliance Policies, standards, and laws relating to these activities are fully respected, integrated and understood by partners, and implement adequate processes to ensure the security of information of a confidential nature Who We're Looking For • Bachelor Degree in Engineering or equivalent, MBA is a plus • 12+ years of Project Management Experience in a multinational environment, within consumer electronics or electronics accessories industry • Shown knowledge in Manufacturing Practices, Product Specification & Process Manufacturing Standards, Global Quality System (Procedures, Equipment Standards and Work Instructions), Industrialization and manufacturing processes, Procurement & Supply Chain practice and principles • Proven experience of leading sizable cross-culture teams and remote teams • Good command of English is a must • Risk management and mitigation skills What we offer Our success depends on the men and women who come to work every single day with a sense of purpose and an appetite for progress.
