Your ‘day to day’ You will be employed in Hong Kong under Philip Morris Asia Limited (PMAL). PMAL operates as a subsidiary of Philip Morris International, Inc. You will support the Smoke-Free Products at electronic Product Development Center (ePDC) in Hong Kong. You will achieve and deliver within PMI cost target, apply outstanding knowledge (e.g. costing) and expertise (e.g. devices) to simplify and standardize processes, provide ad-hoc analyses and supervise insights on specific topics. Support on the design of KPIs in areas where no such experience existed before (e.g. product replacements) by being part of cross-functional teams. You will be responsible for crucial operational and strategic decisions with independent and data driven insights, understanding business performance and advising on finance solutions that allows speed and quality on decision making. Lead or work as part of project teams and provide Financial expertise, understand and address business needs through customized solutions. Other Key Criteria: Guardian of PMI Resources – Global Cost Management • Support the achieving of Product Cost targets • Drive cost management governance and standardization of processes Financial Planning, Forecasting and Monitoring • Co-drive the finance cycles management (OB/RF) for the function • Assist with forecast adjustments and analysis of gap/ deviations • Develop best-fit solution options to drive resources allocation decisions • Consolidate financial assumptions on centrally developed programs to regions/markets/cross functionally • Analyze Finance information reports • Build digital solutions to continuously evaluate financial performance Support Functions’ Strategy Development • Participate in the establishment of the financial plans/models which support of the function strategy including mid-long term (e.g. 1-3 years) • Continuously identify and challenge the quantification of new opportunities (sizing) and potential risks Provide Financial Guidance • Support Finance Business Partner in defining: critical success factors in projects, return on investment of initiatives, budget allocation, risk evaluation • Train and develop functional counterparts to understand and improve financial performance, and enable creation of innovative financial solutions to help the business • Help with investment decisions and with defining metrics and targets including go/no-go/proceed project decisions • Assist with creation of key business planning assumptions, trade-offs and opportunities • Research to identify trends and patterns to enhance return on investment • Review high value business contracts and advice on Financial Risk, Liabilities and other Finance aspects Accounting Accountabilities: • Establish accounting guideline and process set up for the Electronics business • Ensure compliance with internal and external policies and accounting rules • Lead quarterly and annual closing matters with Corporate Controlling, PMI Finance, Risk and Controls and external auditors Who we’re looking for • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance & Accounting, with at least 12 years of experience especially in Costing experience within the consumer electronics industry • Keep business and organizational savviness up-to-date • Proactive approach with analytical thinking • Be curious and creative • Able to collaborate and be an important teammate • Drive projects and cross functional activities • Stay on top of Project Controlling • Problem solving & Drive for results What we offer Our success depends on our talented employees who come to work here every single day with a sense of purpose and an appetite for progress.
