Your ‘day to day’ As a Business Planning Analyst, you are responsible for providing support to the Manager Business Planning in the areas of short-term and long-term planning (by conducting impactful analyses on internal and external factors that affect business performance), reporting of business performance both locally and to PMI, and providing financial evaluations for business initiatives. Your responsibilities include: Pricing Strategy and Business Forecasting Assist the Manager Business Planning in achieving the optimal pricing strategy and sales forecast accuracy through effectively monitoring and analyzing business KPIs and market trends leading to business insights, identifying risks and opportunities that can impact future growth, and develop proposed action plans to address these, monitoring and analyzing economic, fiscal & regulatory developments, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape Performance Reporting and Executive Management Support Support in monitoring and reporting business performance by providing business updates, industry reports, sales highlights, and other management reports as required. Provides periodic information necessary in monitoring progress and validation of projects/strategic plans that will serve as basis for business reviews with management. Business Intelligence Responsible for maintaining market and competitive information system and database. This involves regular collection, classification and update of various information as well as identifying and managing internal and external sources of market and competitive information. This entails regular update and forecast of competitive pricing landscape in the market, share of market and analysis of competitor audited financial statements and tax payments. Responsible as well for building a database and repository of all information (market research and data statistics) and ensuring integrity of the data. Works with Manager Business Planning in analyzing the information gathered to provide relevant and actionable inputs to the evaluation and implementation of business planning and projects. Business Partnering Act as a strategic partner of other functions (i.e. Commercial) by providing data driven analyses and recommendations on business initiatives. This includes the development of the financial evaluation (ROI, MC, pricing and volume) of proposed projects and new product launches (NPL). External Affairs Support Assist in delivering the requirements of External Affairs, such as analyses and calculations in relation to planned engagements with external stakeholders, illicit trade estimates, and other ad-hoc matters. Business Orientation and Knowledge Sharing Conduct business orientations to requesting individuals/groups (i.e. new hires, OC/Regional visitors) and collaborate with other teams and functions in building forecasting and planning capabilities through trainings and workshops. Project Management Manage specific finance projects from planning, execution, evaluation, and migration to business-as-usual activities.
