We are strongly committed to the development and growth of local communities. We partner with nonprofit and public sector organizations and local stakeholders.

Our charitable giving and community investments are focused on access to education, empowering women, economic opportunity, as well as disaster preparedness and relief efforts.

Through these programs, we are contributing to realization of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Empowering local communities

Grassroots efforts build stronger communities

We source most of our tobacco leaf from almost half a million small family farms, with over 2.5 million people directly involved. To support these farm workers and their communities, we promote programs to protect and enhance natural resources, reforest the land, implement conservation agriculture, provide clean water, ensure food security, and improve the livelihoods of people in rural communities. The diverse projects we fund all focus on long-term, sustainable results and achieving self-sufficiency for local communities and individuals in need.
