About the team The objective of In Vitro Alternatives Team is to establish New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) for better prediction of human responses while reducing animal testing for toxicological evaluation. The Team comprises of three areas of expertise: 3D organotypic tissue models, histology and high throughput methods (HTS) run by a group of three senior lab technicians and two scientists. Who we’re looking for: • Available from August to February • Currently pursuing a degree in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Life Sciences, Biotechnology and similar • Experience of the Microsoft Office Package and the ability and willingness to learn new software applications. • Proficiency in spoken and written English • Strong organizational skills, communication skills and ability to work in a team • Preferred former experience in laboratory environment. Roles & Objectives • Be trained in basic in vitro assays within 3D organotypic and Histology area • Perform routine in vitro biological assays within assigned project under a supervision of senior colleague, relying on the use of experimental methodologies to provide robust & accurate data for analysis. • Generate and accurately record data, observations and conclusions from routine biological in vitro tests and analyses. • Conduct data processing tasks. • Ensure the execution of your requested duties in accordance with GIVIMP and internal quality standards.
