We have an opportunity for a Finance Technical Capability Manager Overview The Manager Technical Capability is key to driving forward our technical capabilities across the Finance profession in PMI. Working closely with a network of SME’s across our Centres of Expertise, this role drives technical capability development, ensuring it is both ‘best in class’ and future focused. The role supports the ongoing development of the Finance Academy through managing the overall review, creation, refresh and renewal of technical capabilities and through upskilling our SME network in relevant learning skills. The role requires working with and influencing a range of expert stakeholders and advising them on learning best practice. Key Responsibilities • Management and Planning o Accountable for development of current and future technical Finance capability o Create the goals and drive the plan for technical capability refresh and development for the community (aligned with the Community sponsor/ Capability Lead, People Engagement, Subject Matter Experts and Global Learning Services) based on the Finance Strategy and learning agenda o Manage the Subject Matter Expert community, including the regular bi-monthly forum and individual engagement to advise on overall curriculum and content refresh • Learning and development o Identify the capability priorities emerging from the Finance strategy (top down) and Capability Development tool (bottom up), working with the SME’s to create the learning agenda for technical skills o Ensure technical capability requirements remain aligned to the overall Co-pilot vision and capability framework and interventions meet stated learning objectives o Identify, research and implement best practices learning solutions and technologies to drive organizational learning and performance. o Support the creation and maintenance of learning offers in support of technical competences using new or existing PMI content or sourcing ‘best in class’ externally o Develop and manage external partnerships resulting in high-quality, cost-effective learning solutions. o Advise on sourcing (Buy/Build/Borrow) and vendor selection o Measure the impact of learning offers and implement improvements to enhance success, using input from the Finance Community where appropriate o Promote adherence to content standards, aligning with GLS o Maintain overall content development pipeline • Engagement and Communications o Influence and promote the creation of a learning culture across the Finance profession in PMI o Build the understanding of learning ‘best practice’ (training needs analysis, learning design, build/buy determination, vendor selection, learning intervention measurement capability measurement) across the SME community. o Ongoing creation and maintenance of the technical content and articles in Finance Academy in Fuse o With the relevant SMEs, promote use of the Finance Academy through sharing, posting and promoting content with relevant audiences Key Skills • A passion for learning, building a learning culture and growing the Finance Academy in PMI • A strong track record of curiosity and personal learning • Experience of analysing learning needs, designing training interventions and vendor selection • Experience of relationship building with internal and external stakeholders • Good communication and influencing skills. • Experience of working in a range of technical Finance roles • Experience of learning measurement • Desire to embrace Fast Forward ways of working where appropriate, ensuring our customers are at the heart of our decisions and taking an experimental approach to learn, adjust and improve • Experience of project management • Ability to collaborate effectively within the team and with internal/external stakeholders (e.g. SMEs) but work autonomously where necessary • Commitment to PMI’s vision of a Smoke-Free Future Please note that only on-line applications will be taken into consideration.
