If you join our Design team, you will have the opportunity to create, initiate, influence, and take a significant part in the way we create our brands strategy visual identities towards our success. We are currently looking for a Head of Packaging Design to join our design team in Lausanne and be part of this journey of building the future of non-smoke-free brands. As a Head of Packaging Design, you will be leading a team responsible for envisioning, creating, and executing how our brands come to life at packaging level, architecture, and brand visual identity. During this journey you will be working closely with the design, brand, business, and packaging teams as well as external partners like design or advertising agencies. Some of the key areas we are looking for: • Clear creative vision and purpose: Think globally, strategically, and towards large impact. Demonstrate holistic awareness bridging brand and product needs with the consumer and shopper always in the center. • Serve as a catalyst: Creating urgency and shared inevitability to work towards a better future for all, thereby inspiring others to act. Be bold in new areas, not limited by present logic or institutions, embracing fears rather than avoiding them. • Be a Leader and enable collaboration: Be a experienced design evangelist, leveraging cross functional teams to accelerate creation of new value propositions for our brands and initiatives from ideation to execution in different areas. You will: • Lead a multidisciplinary in-house design team (approx. 2-5 designers) and a global pool of creative partners/agencies from concept/big ideas to detailed designs. • Strong creative leadership on driving brand visual identities co-creation, adaption, or amplification. With the key focus being on Product and Consumables Packaging Design & Visual Identity, contributes to defining how iconic brand assets come together not only on packaging itself, but also across touchpoints such as brand architecture and brand world. • E2E thinking, driving brand and product needs to life having the shopper and consumer journey in mind, from conceptualization to production with strong experience in packaging and printing execution. • Phenomenal communication and influential skills (verbal, written, and visual) demonstrating the ability to lead conversations and drive decisions ensuring that others are onboarded and inspired by the brand or product design journey. • Be empathetic and demonstrate strong narrative and storytelling skills bridging our brand business and creative strategies with a holistic consumer-centric design ecosystem. • Strong ability on managing multiple initiatives and complexity with perfection. Ability to set priorities and be accountable; Successfully navigate through multi-functional teams both within a program team, design team and with executive stakeholders across the company. We’re looking for someone with: • Bold portfolio with emphasis on branded/branding content, visual identities, and especially packaging that will be assessed on creative excellence, passion for detail and storytelling. • Significant design and creative experience (+14 years). • People leadership experience (leading internal and external creative teams). • Experience on working with multi-functional teams and cross-geographical teams. • Communication, influence, and negotiation experience across multi-functional teams. • Experience in working with external partners; (agencies, production houses). • No linear thinking / Design Thinking leadership. • Collaboration mindset. • Experience working with packaging and printing materials. • Full proficiency in leading strategical conversations with senior stake holders. • Proficiency with budget and resource management (internal & external) and annual budgeting processes. • Strong knowledge and fluency in Adobe CS (with emphasis in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and presentation tools (Keynote, PowerPoint, etc.).
