You’ll be solving supply chain problems that span the whole world: a smoke-free world. Responsible for tobacco processing at Stemmery Lerma and third parties for PMI as well as a service for other companies and their clients at Stemmery Lerma, assuring quality and customer requirements, production scheduling, best possible cost, caring personnel and environment. Your ‘day to day’ • Define, prepare and ensure the accomplishments of actions, plans and strategies of production at Stemmery Lerma and third parties in order to achieve targets and goals in terms of yield, throughput, productivities and quality requirements through KPIs while promoting continuous improvement for PMI and our customers. • Lead and promote the implementation of RTT OPEN+, Lean manufacturing practices, NTRM Compliance Program, Zero Losses Program, PMI SPP (Supplier Performance profile), and Quality Management Systems to guarantee and optimal processing services for PMI and customers. • Lead the recruitment of candidates and train/coach team members to ensure the proper staff development and performance. • Share and assure the proper analysis and information for the Operation Manager for decision making based on data and maintain strong business relationship and communication with the Leaf Management Team, stakeholders and customers to be aligned with the vision, priorities, projects, and challenges of the business. Additionally bring support to management team in audits and customers meetings. • Work in projects or cross functional projects along with suppliers, engineering, maintenance, and other areas of the business to identify enhancements, eliminate inefficiencies, improve quality of the process, reduce operational cost, implement customer requirements, and optimize headcount. Who we’re looking for • Bachelor or Master’s degree, Ideally Engineering (Industrial, mechanical, etc.) • Minimum five years’ experience in manufacturing processes with team members reporting to • Two years of experience on tobacco process (desirable) • Experience in TIER 1 multinational companies (desirable) • Experience in other Operational areas (Logistics, Maintenance, Quality, etc.) (desirable) • Advanced English Proficiency • Problem Solving, Lean Manufacturing Practices knowledge • Computer skills including MS Office and SAP knowledge is an asset What we offer Our success depends on our talented employees who come to work here every single day with a sense of purpose and an appetite for progress.
