TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT - Contract Type : Permanent - Work location : Philip Morris Korea, 10, Gukjegeumyung-ro, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, Korea YOUR ‘DAY TO DAY’ 1)Tax filing -Coordinate with various business functions to consolidate necessary data for tax filing preparation -Extract relevant data from SAP and conduct necessary reconciliation -Investigate and analyze variances (if any) and develop mitigating plan -Prepare tax filings and claims in compliance with tax regulations -Prepare data/documents in response to queries/requests from tax authorities -Contribute to the system/software development to automate manual tax tasks -Lead/monitor stock destruction(LOGD) process 2)Tax risk/cost management -Proactively identify tax control areas and interact with the relevant business teams to develop/design and implement necessary tax-related principles/best practices/processes for effective/efficient tax risk management -Provide regular trainings and timely tax advisory to internal customers to enhance compliance awareness -Seek tax saving opportunities and maximize benefits from available tax incentive programs in compliance with tax regulations -Develop the best defense arguments and solutions against potential challenges from authorities while securing proper supporting evidential documents -Interact with outside tax consultants to effectively address challenges from tax authorities and actively support on field tax audits, tax appeal litigations, dispute resolution process and ad-hoc enquiries from authorities -Prepare TP documentation in compliance with tax regulation and address any challenges from tax authorities in TP areas while liaising with PMI TP Team -Regular internal report for responsible matters within the given timeline to support effective business decision making 3)Ad-hoc supports -Lead/Participate in global/local projects in liaison with PMI tax, other PMI affiliates and/or other teams/functions -Cooperative with various stakeholders for ad-hoc requests and projects -System data and documents management WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR [Must Have] - Experience of minimum 3-5 years in Tax areas - Experience of tax operations for 1~3 years in multi-national companies is preferred - Bachelor’s in Finance, Commerce or related degrees with major in Business Administration, Tax or Accounting - Good command of written and spoken English - Agility with strong analysis and numerical ability - Team-player with excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills [Good to have] - Good understanding on tax operations in Korea - Hands-on knowledge / experience of SAP is ideal - AICPA/KICPA/CA/CTA preferred (not a must) WHAT WE OFFER Our success depends on the men and women who come to work every single day with a sense of purpose and an appetite for progress.
