JOINING THE REGIONAL IT CONSUMER TEAM The Regional IT Consumer Team plays a critical role in delivering PMI’s Smoke-Free Future. We are enabling digital services to our consumers and retailers within our region by building platforms to communicate our vision to broader society. Together with talent from multiple business and technology functions across our footprint, we are delivering a premium experience for our consumers. You will be primarily focusing on defining your Digital Product vision, regularly engaging with your customers to gather feedback and understand their needs to increase value. You will be part of all stages of Digital Product incremental value delivery. What’s the purpose of this role? As Tech lead, you will collaborate with markets within the region as well as solution & domain architects at central functions in making the Digital Product vision, reality. You ensure that the solution getting implemented adheres to the design & you constructively challenge where you believe improvements and opportunities exist. You are relentless in your pursuit of engineering excellence, even when that means challenging the status-quo. You are the champion of delivering solutions that meet the needs of the business design team and are loved by your users and customers (e.g. through user research or user-centric design). You’ll be acutely aware that transformation requires a ‘roll up your sleeves’ mentality. YOUR DAY-TO-DAY • Collaborate with Domain, Group, and Solution Architects within the markets, other regions and central teams to continuously re-validate and evolve API/integration strategy. • Lead the design, development, and optimization of API-based integrations for complex consumer-facing solutions • Drive the implementation and integration of technologies like GraphQL and REST API’s into our existing and future platforms. • Oversee a team of engineers, ensuring best practices, efficient workflows, and knowledge sharing. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define integration requirements, standards, and best practices. • Stay updated on the latest trends, tools, and technologies in the API integration space and recommend innovative solutions. • Troubleshoot and resolve any integration challenges, ensuring stability, and scalability. • Provide technical expertise and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth. • Continuously monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize the performance of our API platforms. What is needed to succeed in this Role? • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field. Advanced degrees preferred • Demonstrated experience in leading technical teams and managing API-based integrations. • Strong experience in project management and execution of enterprise projects with Agile methodology and tools (Confluence, JIRA, SCRUM, KANBAN). • Having background in a multinational working environment is a plus • Strong technical expertise and ability to express complex technical concepts in terms that are understandable to the business • Proficiency in working with GraphQL and/or REST. • Proficiency in working with JAVA (preferred) or Golang. • Hands on experience with Apollo GraphQL or REST would be a plus. • Hands on experience with AWS infrastructure. Strong understanding of API security, management, and life cycle. • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. • Good stakeholder management, ability to build trust and rapport with internal and external stakeholders • Strong English speaking, writing and communications skills including technical writing What’s in it for you?
