Your ‘day to day’ You will be employed under Philip Morris Asia Limited (PMAL) and support our electronic Product Development Center (ePDC) in Hong Kong. You will: The impact of this role stems from three key pillars: Cost Modelling & Analysis - (i) Create target cost estimates for electronic devices in the PMI product portfolio (ii) Identify cost reduction opportunities for our electronic devices by applying supplier benchmarking, statistical tools, and market trend data (iii) Collaborate multi-functionally with internal teams to estimate cost of new strategic components and technologies Value Engineering Methodologies - (i) Use existing value engineering methodologies (e.g. digital costing tools, competitor teardown analysis) to enhance robustness of cost modelling & analysis work (ii) Work with supervisor to promote & further deploy value engineering methodologies across wider PMI organization (iii) Identify innovative digital tools & methodologies to enhance the efficiency of cost modelling & analysis work Cost Reporting - (i) Lead bi-monthly reporting on device cost & status of cost reduction initiatives to finance & management teams (ii) Collaborate with product and engineering functions to identify & collect cost reduction opportunities (iii) Drive organizational buy-in to implement these cost reduction opportunities Who we’re looking for - University degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Mathematics, Science, Engineering, Economics, or Finance - Minimum 8 years or above working experience in project management, with ability to lead development / improvement of Project Management tools and process - Strong analytical skills & experience, with previous experience to conduct cost modelling & analysis required (or similar type of financial modelling in Excel for a different function/industry) - Strong project management experience, with ability to lead cross-functional projects and collaborate successfully with colleagues in an international environment required - Some manufacturing and operations knowledge, with ability to understand manufacturing processes and key manufacturing cost drivers - Experience in electronics or plastics industry and contract manufacturers is a plus - Experience in cost engineering function or previous knowledge of value engineering tools & methodologies is a plus - Consistently displays a customer centric approach to work and highly adaptable to changes and ambiguity - Creative and innovative thinker, who is interested in digital tools & innovative technologies - Comfortable to work in dynamic cross-functional teams and in a multi-cultural environment - Advanced proficiency in MS Excel - Project Management and working knowledge of Tableau / Power BI is a plus - Fluent English is a must What we offer Our success depends on the talents who come to work every single day with a sense of purpose and an appetite for progress.
