Scope of Work
•Facilitates trainings and workshops to equip the organization with the necessary OPEN tools and methods to address particular issues and challenges in performance and engagement. Implements the global strategy of continuous improvement in Philip Morris Intl (called OPEN / OPEN+)
•Tracks the results of the OPEN initiatives to correlate how activities are impacting the KPIs.
•Works closely with Operations to drive sustainable results.
•Maintains and regularly updates the OPEN materials and promotes OPEN in various Communication venues (Visuals, Publish Articles, Videos, etc)
•Facilitate, train, and coach the improvement teams on the use of OPEN tools and Methods (Autonomous Teams, Focused Improvement, Business Process Improvement). Track progress of teams and provide technical support and escalation to drive progress according to plan until full closure is achieved with sustaining actions in place before full turnover to the department. Provide subject matter expertise support on the use of A3s, why-why analysis, loss deployment, and other OPEN tools.
•Supports the Continuous Improvement & Technical Training (CI&TT) Manager in planning and organizing OPEN events (Congress, Conference, and OPEN Day) that promotes the program and fosters sharing and learning across teams and sites. Regularly schedules other OPEN engagement and steering meetings such as monthly OPEN Update with the FMT, ACES/ICON, BP sharing, Management Gemba walks, and OMT OPEN Review in support of the CI&TT Manager.
•Partners with other Departments within and outside Operations in the identification, loss deployment, and improvement of business processes and/or problem solving through Kaizen events. Tracks progress until project closure and sustaining measures in place.
Supports the other Departments with their own OPEN events like the SC OPEN Day and the QA OPEN Day.
•Conducts self Gap Assessments every year to monitor progress of OPEN engagement and culture. Supports OPEN Central in organizing and planning for Site Gap Assessments every 2 years. Works with the site FMT in coming up with plans and programs to bridge the identified gaps from the assessment/s and monitors execution and results accordingly.
•Administer the materials for the OPEN Model, OPEN Academy, OPEN Diagnostic, OPEN GAP Assessment and all the OPEN Tools and Methods. Ensure that the used material is up to date, tailor made for PMI and that internal / external examples are integrated where possible.
•Develop new OPEN Academies trainings / activities based on customers’ needs.
Maintain involvement and develop of the key stakeholders while performing the job.
•Minimum 1 year in LEAN Manufacturing in comparable industries (FMCG).
•Minimum 2 years in PMI in 'Manage Other' experience.
•Manufacturing experience (primary, secondary, supply chain) would be a plus.
•Good understanding of Integrated LEAN Six Sigma, and/or TPM in combination with business acumen and managerial effectiveness.
•Influencing and directing others in different cultures, environments and in all levels in the organization.
•Deal with conflict management, negotiation, ambiguity, and direct interaction with Operations Directors and Managers.
•Capability to understand, properly diagnose, and to support improvement activities in all processes within PMI.
•Has the ability to deliver results through others.
