Your ‘day to day’ The position is responsible for ensuring that financial policies, structures and systems are in place that will guarantee the effective and efficient financial and tax compliance and reporting to Management, RHQ, and other governmental regulatory authorities. Also, managing the process of accounting closing with high level of standard to meet the various business needs and provide financial solutions for issues and problems raised from PM Taiwan business operations. ACCOUNTING SYSTEMS AND PROCEDURES Oversee the Accounting systems and procedures on how transactions should be documented, recorded and reviewed to ensure all business transactions are properly captured in-line with PMI principle and practices and statutory requirements based on split of responsibilities between Finance Service Center (FSC) and affiliate. Continuously seek improvement opportunity for the overall operations of the accounting systems such as general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable to ensure that transactions are recorded in an efficient and effective manner. MONTH-END/YEAR-END CLOSING & FINANCIAL REPORTING Co-work with FSC to manage the closing process at month-end and year-end so that all of financial transactions can be reflected in Financial Statements timely and accurately, and ensure that all of financial reporting to PMI are performed according to the reporting schedule based on split of responsibilities between FSC and affiliate. Assess appropriate accounting treatment based on US GAAP and PMI Finance Standards, including inquiry of PMI Consolidations & Reporting team. Manage and support internal and external audits and resolve issues when arise. TAXATION Direct an effective fiscal practice and a solid process in managing tax-related risks ranging from Customs, Transfer Pricing, local statutory VAT, Withholding and Corporate Income Tax. Co-work with FSC to manage and review tax filings such as VAT, Withholding Tax and Corporate Income Tax ensuring that the tax filings are performed in a timely and accurate manner and work with PMI Tax or FSC Tax when tax issues and queries raised from tax authorities. Review statutory financial statements and reports for submission to government regulatory authorities to ensure that the compliance of local GAAP and tax regulations. Liaise with PMI Tax to review and propose transfer pricing in accordance with the arm's length principle stipulated in Taiwan Income Tax Act. Manage the transfer pricing process for Taiwan market and ensure the prices are accurately reflected in SAP and budget models. Who we’re looking for • Major in Accounting or Business Administration; post-graduate qualification and/or CPA designation will be an advantage • Minimum 10 years in Accounting and Finance Area including more than 5 years in Managerial position. Experience in CPA firm is preferred • Knowledge of SAP; good interpersonal skills; knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS; analytical and problem solving skills; organization and time management skills.
