Your 'day to day' As the Sr Engineer Device Predictive Modeling working in the Product Quality Intelligence Analytics team you will partner with cross-functional teams to identify, frame and answer business questions where complex analytics can be most impactful. More specifically, you will: • Use analytical rigor and statistical methods to analyze large amounts of data, culling actionable insights using advanced statistical techniques such as predictive statistical models, profiling, segmentation analysis, survey design and analysis and data mining. • Design experiments to answer targeted questions. • Translate unstructured business problems into an abstract mathematical framework • Learn and apply new methodologies in the intersection of applied machine learning, computer science and statistics and make approximations where needed to build scalable algorithms. • Keep abreast of the latest analysis techniques used in the field of data science and ensures PMI uses the most relevant, advanced statistical and modeling methodologies. Continuously monitoring professional journals, articles, etc. • Develop, build and maintain a strong knowledge of each analytics layer and cross-layer matter (security & risk, quality of service, service management, etc.) to ensure consistency & cohesion within the analytics and reporting map. • Lead, develop, maintain and provide analytics principles, standards & patterns that can be leveraged across multiple landscapes, in alignment with the overall product and competitive intelligence vision and direction. Who we're looking for • Master degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Software Engineering, or any other technology related field • Solid proven experience in Data Science • Strong SQL, Python, Shell, R and .net programming skills • Experienced in the use of data preparation tools Ability to cooperate in cross-functional international project teams • Quick learner with a pragmatic, analytical and autonomous mindset • Strong problem solving and organizational capabilities coupled with proven leadership skills • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization • Fluent English is a must What we offer Our success depends on the men and women who come to work every single day with a sense of purpose and an appetite for progress.
