Your ‘day to day’ You will be employed in Shenzhen, China. We are looking for a Engineer – Firmware to specify, design, implement and verify software solutions for next generations of embedded reduced risk products as well as PC tools to configure, monitor and collect data from the embedded systems. Responsibilities • Apply a rigorous software development process which covers the elaboration of software development plans, requirements specifications, architectural and detailed designs, test driven implementations, verifications plans and test reports in the context of small embedded systems. • Perform regular peer reviews of specifications and source code created by other team members or external partners. • Develop and assess prototypes of innovative solutions in tight collaboration with teams of different expertise. • Supervise RRP related software development activities performed by external partners to ensure continuous compliance with our development process. • Present changes in RRP software specifications documents and implementations during cross-functional technical meetings for review and approval. • Foster continuous improvement of our RRPs and development processes by proactively participating in activities not directly linked to software development, such as analysis of RRP device issues, development of supporting methods and tools, elaboration and update of quality documents (BEPs, SOPs, WKIs). Who we’re looking for • University degree in Software Engineering or equivalent. • 5+ years experience in software development in real-time embedded systems, preferably in the medical device industry. Development of PC applications and communication protocols to interact with the embedded systems.
