Your ‘day to day’ You will be employed in Shenzhen, China. We are looking for a Manager PPI who will be responsible for driving Product & Process Improvement (PPI) and Critical Components Governance. The role will lead product and manufacturing process improvement with EMS partners and suppliers to foster win-win business relationships in the production of high-volume/ high-mix consumer electronics. Responsibilities • As an individual contributor, lead a team of cross-functional engineers in analyzing and solving product and process quality issues. Propose, develop and validate device manufacturing process improvements enabling efficiency, cost saving and increased quality. • Lead highly sophisticated technical projects which seek at improving electronic devices' quality, costs and manufacturing outputs. • Conduct product and process improvement projects with Sustaining Engineering and EMS Engineering teams to drive quality continuous improvement. • Drive technical project in a multi-functional environment, where smooth collaboration between Engineering, R&D, QA, Procurement, Supply Chain and EMSs is a must. Who we’re looking for • University degree in Electronics/ Mechanical/ Manufacturing/ Industrial engineering or equivalent. • Around 8-12 years of manufacturing engineering experience linked with seasoned knowledge of product design. • Confirmed experience in establishing relationship with external development partners within the consumer electronics, EMS or medical devices industries. • Good collaboration skills, both internally and externally. • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization. • Fact base decision maker with strong quality principles support. • Strong reputation in engaging in proactive behavior and seizing opportunities. • Excellent communication in English and Chinese (Mandarin is a plus). • Functional expertise required in line with functional scope.
