Your ‘day to day’ You will be employed under Philip Morris Electronics Shenzhen (PMES). PMES operates as a subsidiary of Philip Morris International, Inc. As a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in design verification of the electronic device for mechanical & electrical aspect, you will plan and coordinate activities through the application of scientific/engineering and project management skills. • Design Verification (DV) Project Management: o Responsible to develop product characterization and verification strategy o Define own and maintain the master test plans and test schedule (in close collaboration with DV SME Development Team and Reliability Team) o Manage test resources (internal / external laboratory and third party suppliers) o Review, validate and manage testing budget o Produce and review technical documents (test specifications, qualification reports, design verification plans, design verification reports) o Work closely with Product Development to help develop and provide feedback for testing and risk assessment o Liaise with quality operation team to agree on Process Control Strategy (e.g. ORT plan) • Develop business justification, scope, and resource requirements for management reviews and decision making by acting as the knowledgeable resource for bringing projects to realization • Lead and direct internal project members (DV SME's and external consultants & vendors) to ensure project scopes, budgets, schedules and timelines are developed & managed from project initiation until closure, and is compliant to all company standards • Review, evaluate and manage large quantities of research/technical information and existing c documents. Perform knowledge management via data compilation, review and storage in line with Company, FDA or any other equivalent accreditation authority requirements • Actively participate in strategies development and activity plans, which will build engineering pipeline projects and capabilities for future anticipation. Coordinate the delivery of the technical activities of internal and external partners to meet the identified project scope and objectives required to ensure their successful closures. • Carry out all of the activities ensuring that the company Compliance Policies, standards, and laws relating to these activities are fully respected, integrated and understood by stakeholders, and implement adequate processes to ensure the protection of information of a confidential nature Who our client’s looking for • Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Software or Mechanical Engineering with strong focus on embedded electronic systems). • 5-10 years of relevant experience, preferably in electronic design and/or product testing at module level as well as finished consumer products. Relevant industries would be: consumer electronics products manufacturer, medical device manufacturer, scientific instrument manufacturer, automation products/services provider, design consultancy. • Project and budget management • Good command of English is a must, mandarin would be a plus • Test plan and Design of Experiment (DoE) • Analytical mindset • Structured approach to device development and characterization is essential • Design failure mode and effect analysis process and risk assessment awareness • Development of testing methods and protocols • Knowledge of industry test standards from IEC, IEEE, UL, ASTM and ISO. • Data analysis and statistical awareness • Failure investigation, root cause analysis (RCA) on consumer products What we offer Our success depends on the men and women who come to work every single day with a sense of purpose and an appetite for progress.
