For our Manufacturing Solutions team in Bologna, Italy, we are therefore looking for a Manager Engineering Methods & Analytics. In this position, you will ensure value capture by developing engineering methods and analytics, boost value recovery with productivity programs in manufacturing, generate new manufacturing System improvement opportunities and enabling value generation for future manufacturing technology. You will: • Lead Capex Optimization Activities (e.g., Design to Value, Design to Target Cost, support to procurement) • Lead Proof of concepts and deployment of use cases for Elementary Production Unit (EPU), Lab and support the ideation of Manufacturing Technologies next generation • Lead Advanced analytics to support Loss Analyses and Design of Experiments • Identify and develop new engineering design and analysis methods (e.g., QFD, DFAM, DFV) • Collaborate with OPEN+ to build capabilities on relevant pillars • Lead all stages of assigned projects and coordinate the activities of multi-disciplinary teams to ensure successful delivery of the identified project scope and objectives • Direct a group of technical specialists executing complex scientific, engineering, or other functional projects and contribute to management decisions on general business issues in PMI • Develop, lead, motivate and guide the team to ensure the objectives are continuously met. We’re looking for someone with: • University degree in Engineering or similar fields, an advanced degree is a plus • Knowledge and experience in systems engineering and automation solutions in engineering processes and manufacturing, preferably in white goods, food, automotive or packaging industry • Strong problem solving and capability to deal with the unknown and ambiguity and generate new ideas • Appetite to explore new Technologies and new Methodologies • Project Management fundamentals and capability to work in cross functional teams • Excellent experience in Developing and Implementing Industry 4.0 initiatives • Lean methodology approach and experience in lean transformation projects • Knowledge in new engineering design and analysis methods, manufacturing systems improvement programs, Simulation tools • Proven ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, organizational capabilities and excellent interpersonal skills • Excellent English Speaker both written and spoken What we offer: Our success depends on the men and women who come to work every single day with a sense of purpose and an appetite for progress.
