ROLE OVERVIEW We are currently looking to hire a Manager, I&D Communications to oversee external media engagement for a selection of PMI’s global executives. This role will be based in the greater NYC area. KEY ACTIVITIES • Develop and implement 360-degree creative communications programs—considering earned, owned and paid elements—for our Inclusion & Diversity (I&D) function o Day-to-day project management of I&D campaigns, work closely with internal cross-functional teams and third parties to execute o Maintain positive professional relationships with various external partners and identifies ways to leverage relationships for communications purposes • Provide guidance and communication support for the I&D narrative across corporate channels, working closely with the Chief Diversity Officer and her team • Oversee content development for I&D function, including but not limited to earned and owned channels • Plan and execute strategic communications programs for select executives o Manage all external communications activities, supporting the executive and/or their function’s presence across owned, earned and paid o Oversee day-to-day communications activities such as coordinating media interviews, supporting digital communications strategies, message development and themes, speaking opportunities, etc. o Work closely with internal cross-functional teams, vendors and third parties to support executive channels and activities o Ensure the tracking of all executive interactions with the press and the media; maintain an earned media tracker and reporting tool o Assists executives in developing presentations, speeches, other important corporate messages and preparing for internal/external events • Develops, implements, and adheres to communications budget • Ensure message alignment across corporate brand and executive brands • Manage external agency to ensure delivery of KPIs REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES • Ability to develop creative, integrated communications plans • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Solid experience with media relations • Ability to offer sound media relations advice to senior leadership • Excellent managerial and organizational abilities • Strong at building relationships across the organization and outside as well; ability to work with corporate management, employees, media, and the larger community • Ability to coordinate efforts among various teams • English spoken and written at a mastery level; any other languages considered a plus EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE • Education in English, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field • Multiple years of experience in communications, including experience with strategic planning and developing and deploying comprehensive communications campaigns/initiatives • Experience working with C-suite executives in a multinational company or within a large agency • Strong corporate communications experience, crisis/issues management a plus • Experience working in/with multiple countries, at ease with cultural diversity You should be legally authorized to work in the U.S. in order to apply for this role.
