For our Sustainability team in Lausanne, Switzerland, we are therefore looking for a Pillar Manager Tolling Environmental Sustainability. Your 'day to day' Maintain leadership on sustainable practices through highest ranking on all external accreditations. War on carbon neutrality – carbon emission mapping & elimination program guided by Science Based Targets. Lead zero deforestation and water stewardship. Address pertinent climate change risks and build resilience while seizing opportunities presented by a low-carbon future. Rely on robust carbon footprint accounting, data management, sound analysis of climate change-related risks and opportunities, due diligence and monitoring of climate protection, ambitious targets, clear management and governance structures. · Lead climate actions based on robust processes and innovation solutions · Development of environmental and climate strategy in the supply chain and projects with relevant internal/external stakeholders · Maintain current CDP A rating (climate change, forest, water) · Lead the disclosures, identify & develop content and manage disclosure process · Provide deep expertise on topics related to core capabilities (e.g., climate, carbon removals, deforestation, biodiversity, water, environmentally sustainable and responsible sourcing, etc.) · Provide input to the pillar strategies (including the outside-in). · Provide deep expertise on topics related to core capabilities (e.g. biodiversity, water stewardship, etc). · Stay abreast of global macro trends and be recognised as a sustainability leader within and outside PMI. · Identify & develop pipeline of ideas. · Be accountable to complete the “develop” phase of all Sustainability Programs (typically in Gate 0 - Gate 3). · Develop toolboxes · Own & participate in key external partner engagements (incl. working groups). · Build internal capability in area of expertise. · Develop operations sustainability Policy & Guidelines. · Provide input for all external reporting submissions. We’re looking for someone with: · Master degree in Environmental Science, Agricultural Production, Agronomy Engineer/Science, or other related degree with a specialization in Environmental Sustainable Management or business management · 5 -7 years of practical experience in environmental related Sustainability Programs, preferably within FMCG or consumer electronics · Solid practical experience in the area of water stewardship/ carbon footprint/ waste management/ carbon management/ forest management and biodiversity/ responsible sourcing · Analytical Skills - Ability to quickly process and understand complexity & ambiguity and define right solutions to tough problems. · Ability to interact with diverse set of partners and levels in the organization · Leadership background · Self-starter/learner, able to work independently but also take and implement direction and advice · Abreast of sustainability standards, policies and regulations What we offer: Our success depends on the men and women who come to work every single day with a sense of purpose and an appetite for progress.
