We are currently looking to hire a Regional Payroll Manager that will be responsible for managing and overseeing the accurate and timely delivery of payroll for all local staff payrolls to ensure efficiency and accurate payments of salaries for the Latin America & Canada region. The position will be also in charge of the co-ordination, delivery, prioritization and escalation of payroll business requirements, for meeting business objectives and delivering business outcomes/ impact. Your ‘day to day’ Payroll Strategy • Work with Global Payroll Product Team to define performance standards and to set goals and objectives for the region’s payroll delivery teams. • Work with local P&C Directors and market Head of P&ED to define payroll strategy and delivery model for the affiliates in the region, stablishing internal and external SLAs. • Manage short and long term-term operation and strategic goals for the payroll function. Payroll Delivery • Ensure that regional payroll team members are responsive to incoming demand (Call, emails, etc), issue documentation, resolution and escalation (As necessary). • Ensure all relevant payroll operations are consistent and compliant and delivered in compliance with prevailing global/ regional/ local legislation (statutory and non-statutory) and with PMI management standards. • Responsible for achieving payroll-related target key performance indicators, operational level agrees and service levels to internal customers and stakeholders. • Allocate resources and responsibilities within the regional payroll team(s) to deliver business results. • Partner with Global Mobility on expat payroll matters or issues escalation as they relate to local payroll processing, including internal/ external audits. • Manage Payroll Governance activities between P&C, Finance and Risk & Controls functions. Service Experience • Monitor regional payroll performance to ensure delivery to agreed performance standards, identify opportunities and act plans for delivery below targeted standards. • Monitor regional payroll performance to ensure delivery to applicable Control Standards and prevailing legislation, including identification, interpretation and applicable of prevailing employment tax and social insurance legislation. Establish systematic regime to assess compliance of payroll to firmwide control standards, including Control Self-Assessment. Identify act plans to close gaps in delivery in compliance with required standards and/ or legislation. • Take responsibility for payroll related issues/ problems within the region until they are resolved. Undertake proactive risk control to ensure no repeat of issues/ problems. Understand payroll issues/ problems in other regions, applying lessons learned (including proactive risk control) to ensure no replication of issues/ problems within the region. • Identify opportunities for improvements to increase the efficiency level of the regional Payroll teams. • Monitor, identify and introduce areas for improvement by monitoring employee experience and/ or by acquiring and providing feedback from payroll team members. Prioritizing regional inputs to Payroll Product Backlog and collaborating with the Payroll Product Manager to ensure their timely delivery. • Lead engagement with Corporate Audits, Risk and control and external bodies on payroll-related matters; e.g. Labor Inspection, Social Security, Tax Office. Vendor Management • Partner with the Payroll Product Manager and Vendor Management Team Monitor to align regional payroll vendors to target global goals. • Responsible for the creation of outsource contracts and the fulfillment of contractual terms, including payment of service and the associated budgeting. • Monitor and manager regional vendors performance to ensure delivery to agreed performance standards. Who we’re looking for • Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance or Engineering • Desirable: business accounting and/ or employee tax professional qualifications • Preferred: Prior experience in a similar role • Considered: Prior experience running large scale country payroll operations, complex payment/ finance processing operations or employee tax operations. • Controls/ Risk Management Skills; • Strong Quantitative Skills; • Strong Process Management (Define, Assess and Monitor) • Understanding of Employment Tax and Social Insurance regulatory requirements: • Stakeholder engagement; • End consumer experience: Service orientation, Knowledge HR operations delivery; Responsive, Collaborative, Effective Challenger & Change Agent; Storytelling through data; Business Acumen • Ability to understand business context and translate into solutions • Fluent in English What we offer Our success depends on the men and women who come to work every single day with a sense of purpose and an appetite for progress.
