CONTEXT We at Philip Morris are dedicated to doing something very drastic: replacing cigarettes with smoke-free products in order to create a smoke free future. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE Ensuring that our commercial teams have the right knowledge, skills and capabilities to successfully share our vision and sell our products [both Conventional and Non-Combustible Alternatives]. Supporting the company shift towards a consumer centric organization [capability, mindset] to align our voices towards the consumers. In close partnership with the Head of Capability Building, he/she defines and develops the functional skills, tools, resources, training methodologies for the initiatives & back- office teams. ACCOUNTABILITIES • Deliver consumer-oriented train-the-trainer concepts – define training needs (product know-how, selling skills etc), develop individual & group trainings and materials using a diverse set of training platforms • Conduct gap analyses (knowledge/skills/competencies) by participating to strategic BNL projects/initiatives and in close collaboration with head of CC Capability Building, Capability building Managers BeLux/NL and BNL Trade Partners Capability Building Managers • Analyze gaps to build commercial capabilities; define training plan to support RRP & CC strategies [new marketing codes, new launches, …] • Ensure and deploy timely & quality trainings in line with the agreed planning & budget • Conduct training programs • Performance tracking of programs and continuous improvement: continuously evaluate and track the training activities delivered and adapt to customer needs if necessary • Design governance model for quality assurance (mystery shopping, feedback loop from staff, etc.) • Ensure all employees from all channels have learning in lines with their in-call mission and can deliver upon a PM desired Omnichannel consumer experience • Ensure that all involved parties are trained to be able to deliver those training and achieve agreed targets; organize and lead workshops to drive the collaboration with external partners, raise knowledge and enhance these into the commercial organization COMPETENCIES • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent by experience • Min 5 years’ experience as commercial trainer • Strong knowledge and understanding of the industry • Solid experience in developing commercial training materials and sales techniques • Strong interpersonal skills; excellent written and oral communication skills • Ability to work collaboratively • Demonstrate decisiveness in resolving problems, making decisions and identifying priorities • Detail oriented but also able to prioritize those things that will have an impact • Highly organized with a sense of urgency and can-do attitude • A growth mindset, enabling you to be resilient and able to adapt to a changing work environment • Fast learning capabilities, entrepreneurial spirit and curiosity SELECTION PROCESS Talent Acquisition (TA) will perform an initial screening to assess whether candidates match with the defined vacancy requirements. If this is the case, the candidate will be invited for 2 competency-based (virtual) interviews. In parallel, you will be asked to complete 2 online assessment tests*. At the end of the process, each candidate will receive the assessment results, as well as actionable feedback for their further development. *Assessment Tests The tests are integrated in the selection process to increase objectivity of the final decision making. The assessment tests are composed out of a personality test, and a cognitive ability test. The results will not be saved in the employee’s file, and will only be used in the context of the vacancy for which the employee is applying.
