Purpose of the role Plan, manage, and control financial resources in Accounting, Treasury, Tax & Payroll functions, ensuring that information supports effective control of business performance, permits decision-making at both local and regional levels, and all PM and statutory requirements, internal control standards are met in all financial aspects. Accountabilities ? Direct the US GAAP & statutory accounting and reporting, receivables & payables, fixed asset control and payroll functions, ensuring that PM and statutory reporting requirements are fulfilled and both systems and staff are developed to high performance standards. Manage the development and implementation of financial and accounting systems in order to provide management with the information needed to control and run the business. ? Plan the organizational structure and human resource requirements and ensure the recruitment, training, and development of all staff assigned, in order to fulfill departmental responsibilities and to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness in the short and medium term. ? Direct an effective fiscal practice and ensure that the Company complies with all statutory requirements and legal obligations for accounting and disclosure, excise tax, corporate tax, VAT, withholding tax, and other taxes. ? Ensure correct and timely preparation of all required PM financial reports, in order to provide local and regional management with the information needed to control business performance ? Develop and implement effective financial policies, within PM guidelines, and translate policies into practice, in order to ensure the optimal use of financial resources and provide for full control over receivables, payables and other transactions, including capital expenditure control. ? Ensure that internal controls are developed and put in place and in conjunction with other departments, that staff are trained and adhere to proper procedures, and work with the management team to decide and implement corrective actions and best business practices, in order to protect the company's assets and fulfill all internal and external requirements. ? Develop and implement an effective treasury function, putting in place the necessary systems and controls, in order to ensure optimum cash-flow management, proper credit and collection performance, well-organized transaction processing and timely payment of purchases within full compliance of policies. Ensure comprehensive protection of assets, employees, and coverage for potential business losses through appropriate cost-effective insurance policies, and reduce potential losses within the Company guidelines. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE ? At least 10 years of experience in Finance and/or Strategic Planning in international companies, preferably in FMCG or consumer business. ? At least 3 years of experience as a people manager or project leader. ? Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with and influence others appropriately ? Easy to deal with ambiguity and able to adopt quickly in a fast paced environment ? University Degree ?
