We are looking for a skilled and passionate Engineering Lead to join our Centre of Excellence to build and scale effective software solutions for IT OPS Domain. PMI IT Operations domain is composed of Manufacturing and Supply Chain clusters that globally supports the production and the distribution of our products. In this business area, we develop applications that interact with our production machines and our manufacturing and logistics execution systems (MES / LES). As an Engineering Lead, you will be responsible for leading and managing an Engineering team and, you will have the opportunity to build high value, differentiating and impactful applications that will support our factories and our retail distribution worldwide. Responsibilities: • Lead an Engineering team • Co-own the team’s backlog, while working closely with the Team Lead, Product Owner, Engineering Manager, and other Stakeholders. • Collaborate closely with Tech leads, Domain Architects, Engineering Manager, and product owners to unblock the team and more efficiently deliver value to end-users • Mentor and grow a world-class Engineering Team to reach high maturity and performance levels while delivering a challenging project • Achieved to move in the right direction • Identify roadblocks, dependencies and other issues and work with multiple Teams across the organization to resolve these issues • Coordinate people, tools, and time to consistently deliver high-quality software within an Agile mindset • Identify opportunities for improvements and help drive changes as necessary • Manage up to 7 engineers Background and Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science or Software Engineering with appropriate experience • The ability to take ownership of decisions made in the engineering organization by helping stakeholders make clear decisions in alignment with organizational goals, backing decisions made, and taking responsibility for their success • Drive alignment by having conversations based on engineering strategy and principles with your teammates when appropriate, strongly oriented towards working to the same goal as a team • Able to take ownership and responsibility for organizational practices and processes and their continuous improvement • Knowledge of agile development methodologies • Fluency in English (written and oral) • Strive to be objective and continuously reflect on your own biases when making decisions, holding yourself accountable for decisions and outcomes • Facilitates discussions, ensuring that everyone has an opportunity to share their opinion and be heard and that discussion outcomes tie to stated goals. • Understand your work domain, share knowledge frequently with your teammates and document, creating an organic culture for opportunities to share knowledge • Actively mentors’ team in an open, respectful, flexible, empathetic manner Additional Experience Preferred or Helpful: • Cloud Technologies knowledge (Amazon AWS is a plus) • Have production experience with programming languages like C#, Java, JavaScript, Kotlin and/or TypeScript • Have experience working on a large-scale system.
