As our work evolves, there’s space to define your role and satisfy your professional curiosity. You’ll be working within the Supply Chain Integrity team in the Illicit Trade Prevention (ITP) Group. We are currently looking for a Manager ITP Forensics, Risk Reduced Products (RRPs) to join our global EA ITP team and play an active role in the biggest transformation in the history of our company. This job stands in UK (London). Potential to have the role based elsewhere (ie your current location) to be discussed on a case-by-case basis. In this role, you will act as a Company’s subject matter expert (SME) in PMI RRPs forensics by ensuring fulfillment of PMI’s legal and juridical requirements as IP right holder and duly representing the company in front of internal customers, public authorities, and other external stakeholders. You will be supporting Head of ITP Forensics in developing innovative methodologies, features and tools to protect and authenticate RRPs, generating product intelligence on illicit RRPs, aiming to support ITP strategies and activities, and law enforcement investigations and actions. How can you make history with us? • Product authentication: manage, coordinate or support all sort of PMI RRPs authentication requests to be duly executed, aiming to fulfil PMI’s legal and regulatory requirements as a trademark owners for RRPs. • Product intelligence and Forensics: coordinate RRPs forensics analyses requests in response to internal clients enquiries (i.e. ITP Regional or Market leads), investigative consultants, or law enforcement authorities requests, consumer complaints, test purchases, device returns (warranty and otherwise), in-market sampling, RRP recycling hubs, etc... performed either internally and / or by external business partners (3rd party labs, vendors laboratories, etc…), to generate factual and actionable intelligence supporting the ongoing investigations processes, helping to tailor the resources, focus on targets, prioritize actions and eliminate redundancy. • Product Security Features (PSF): act as a SME in the area of PMI PSF for RRPs, ensuring availability of robust and easy to use methodology in place to authenticate all RRPs portfolio. Identify potential gaps and highlight them to the ITP Management via functional or workstreams communication channels. Coordinate activities defined under the scope of ITP activities in the respective area. • Supplier Liaison Program (SLP): manage, support or contribute to various process workstreams related to RRPs (incl. electronics and consumables, as well as its most critical components). Participate effectively in the PACE (Product Authentication and Consumer Experience) working group activities. • RRP in-market and reverse logistics processes: Contribute to protecting the consumer journey and the fast-evolving product lifecycle and distribution models for RRPs, by ensuring presence and integrity of products forensics checks along the product life cycle, from manufacturing through distribution to sales, and its reverse logistics (returns and recycling), incl. local recycling solutions or centralised processes at the Reverse Logistics HUBs. • Methodology and SMEs development: work closely, “hand in hand” with PMI RRPs teams along the organization, to ensure ITP controls and measures being integral part of the commercial and customer care processes. Ensure integration of the ITP controls and measures into the company CRM systems or digital diagnostic tools (incl. online or stationary tools), either by direct integration into the process, or add-on process, as separate focus controls. Constantly enhance know – how on new PMI products within RRPs portfolio, as well as support competitive intelligence gathering in the necessary scope. • Supply Chain Integrity: actively support and contribute to the process of fulfillment of PMI regulatory or internal obligations included in PMI’s Anti-Diversion programs, incl. PMI’s P&P 10-C requirement, by responding to external, i.e. public authorities, and internal stakeholders requests for technical expertise and RRPs forensics, thereby demonstrating PMI’s commitment to fight illicit trade, first and foremost of its own products. • Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) through technical assistance: deliver, support and / or assist in technical training program deliverables to law enforcement authorities aiming at building their capability in tackling illicit trade, and enhance their knowledge about the PMI RRPs category. Contribute to the building of PPP and the establishment of Cooperation Framework Agreements in priority markets. Support building the “external engagement corridors” for further follow up actions. • Forensics IT Systems: support or contribute to maintenance process of ITP system(s) in place (ITEMS, others if applicable). Propose requirements or enhancements to the internal coordinator, provide regular feedback on system performance, focus on RRP related elements in the system, support in testing and suggest improvements (if applicable). • Project Management: lead, manage, contribute to or actively participate within various projects related to or targeting directly illicit trade prevention in RRPs, either of internal or cross-departmental / external nature. Follow the set project strategy and objectives, allocate the tasks and responsibilities to the project team’s members, and ensure the required deliverables are in place. Who are we looking for? • University degree, preferably on Technical Sciences • ≥2 years of experience in electronic products industry, eventual experience in the anti-illicit trade area, Product Quality Assurance, Operations or similar would be an asset • Know-how of product technical examination methods and forensics evaluation • Solid knowledge of Brand Protection’ practical aspects and product security specifics. • Solid knowledge of RRP and vaping products, incl. electronics and consumables • Excellent communication and presentation skills (oral and written). • Ability to adapt your communication style, taking into consideration the countries involved and related cultural specificities • Strong analytical skills and problem solving.
