We are looking for a Logistics Executive who will work in İzmir and be responsible for evaluating, proposing and establishing optimum international transportation strategies, taking into account lead time and cost aspects of the operation, for MEA cluster within the scope of control tower. Read further if you want to learn what the main responsibilities of the role are: • Sustain the strategy of control tower by leading and coordinating third party logistics companies (control towers) for inbound, outbound and cross transportation, shipment tracking and customs documents control activities of all merchandise. • Establish clear transportation strategies of MEA region for all material groups within the export, import and cross operations, fully compliant with national and international legislations and in line with company strategy in order to meet market service level requirement • Evaluate, analyze and implement alternative transportation methods to reduce lead time and cost by considering load optimization and the coordination of urgent deliveries to contribute to the overall company productivity and resilience. • Design, establish and maintain all the systems necessary to run the transportation processes properly in order to sustain business continuity and perform an efficient operation with logistics providers. Define and standardize KPIs for logistics activities and ensure that performance analysis of control tower is done in an effective way. • Establish and calculate international transportation related inputs for budget and reveal discrepancies on monthly basis by preparing comprehensive reports. Keep logistics forecast figures updated in case of any cost change (freight updates, source changes, productivities etc.) • Lead Logistics Daily Direction Setting meetings to guide and direct the logistics operation in a timely and cost-effective way. Create an action plan based on the critical points and urgencies highlighted in the Supply Chain Daily Direction Setting Meeting. • Ensure that EHSS is integrated into all activities and adherence to EHSS policy & procedures is strictly maintained. Provide the tools and relevant trainings to Control Tower staff, regarding compliance to transfer the PMI principles and procedures to support and maintain a compliant and well-managed regulatory environment and to assist third parties in responding to issue resolution and other business challenges. • Ensure that all procedures are developed and followed up with full compliance in line with legislation / regulation to preserve the company image for PMTM. You: • University Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering or similar • Minimum 5 years of experience in Supply Chain (2-3 years of specific experience in international Logistics and knowledge about legislations / regulations within a multinational environment is an asset) • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English • Have high level of personal responsibility and accountability for results • Have strong planning skills and analytical thinking competency • Have strong communication & interpersonal skills and have attention for detail • Are collaborative, a team player, customer oriented and a quick learner At Philip Morris International, employee health and safety are our top priority.
