Your ‘day to day’ You will work as a 12 months’ fixed term contractor to support Philip Morris Electronics (Shenzhen) (PMES). PMES operates as a subsidiary of Philip Morris International, Inc. in Shenzhen. You may be required to be engaged by a 3rd party service provider to be assigned to work at PMES. You will perform Accelerated Lifecycle Testing activities and reliability operations in our newly built Shenzhen development lab. You will support the planning to cycle the new prototypes of electronic devices at accelerated speed with fake sticks to identify failures as early as possible during the development of the device. Major responsibilities: Reliability Testing - Prepare kickoff of new tests: receive shipment and setup new cycling jigs equipment, dummy consumables, prototypes of electronic devices for testing. - Ensure tests are running as per protocol: conduct regular maintenance on cycling jigs, weekly replacement & refurbishment of dummy consumables, weekly measure of battery remaining capacity in each device under test by dismounting/remounting its battery and operating a Neware battery tester, replacement of failed Electronic devices. - Collect, generate and review data - Complete short-term activities of a repetitive nature - Operate assigned production equipment (semi-work) - Assist in the development of assessment protocols and the execution of assessments, tests and evaluation plans. Defect Management - Failure analysis: when an Electronic device fail, conduct a failure analysis potentially by disassembling the Electronic device or by connecting to a laptop via USB in order to collect and analyze recorded device data. Then upon request, ship the devices for further analysis - Conduct testing and troubleshooting. - Maintain the defect tracking system and ensure all fixed defects are properly tested and closed. Quality Management System (QMS): - Create/maintain Work Instructions (WKI) of specific test equipment. - Generate a report for each test with all the details: protocol, device configurations, cycling regime, deviations, failures identified; Laboratory operations: - Responsible of laboratory area, ensuring proper equipment maintenance (calibration, certification...) and fulfilling all EHS requirements. - Stock management and traceability for: spare parts of cycling jig equipment, dummy sticks, electronic devices; - Assist in the specification definition and assessment of new equipment of interest for design verification laboratory. Who we’re looking for - Degree in Electronics with focus on embedded electronic systems. - Experience in write and conduct design of experiment. - Experience in quality/ reliability testing or electronics test support in an electronics laboratory.
