Our NXT Primary team is a collection of skilled and dedicated engineers striving to make a step change in substrates processing for PMI’s Heat-Not-Burn platform. Working in close collaboration with other Engineering Solutions, Manufacturing & Product/R&D functions. We are looking for someone who is not afraid of challenging the status quo, value diversity and inclusion, enjoys fun and is ready to ride the innovation rollercoaster. Your ‘day to day’ Lead process/technology development and industrialization projects aiming at driving loss elimination and/or capacity expansion. Build early-stage manufacturing concept. Anticipate and address possible impact to manufacturing performance at early stages in the industrialization of new technologies. Assess technology business case though deep understanding of benefits and associated investment. Specify processing equipment based on product requirements & targeted performance, be accountable for the equipment detailed design & manufacturing phases with OEMs and contribute to qualification (FAT, CAT, IOQ, PQ) & validation activities together with the factory/affiliate. Scout, assess and select processing technologies based on their ability to bring a step change in heat-not-burn substrates processing. Scout, assess and select OEMs based on their ability to deliver on the equipment specifications. Be an enabler to process & product de-risking activities together with other relevant functions by coordinating OEMs with prototyping leads. Perform process characterization activities and lead related FMEAs for integration into overall Quality Control Strategy. Manage key stakeholders, manage risks, issues and changes related to the project. We're looking for someone who: Has solid knowledge and experience in engineering/manufacturing, preferably in the tobacco, food or pharmaceutical industry. Solid technical experience in process development and knowledgeable about one or more of the following technologies: raw materials infeed, grinding, mixing, drying and/or forming. Proven track record in equipment specification, design reviews and qualification processes. Skilled and experienced in leading complex projects, from process development to industrialization, including equipment design, testing, acceptance and qualification. Strong influencing and interpersonal skills. Able to develop professional relationships. University degree (or equivalent) in Engineering or similar fields, advanced degree is a plus.
